They are one of the best staff I ever dealt with in a hotel. The manager was very friendly, helpful and remember our names. Anytime he would see us we had a great conversation and asked if we needed anything. At some points you almost forgot he worked there and was a good friend. The restaurant had great food and great selection at great prices. We had dinner there every night. Our waiter was just like the manager so helpful and friendly. The staff in general just seemed happy and happy to be the there. The room was clean, bed was comfortable and shower was hot. The pool was great after spending time in the dunes. We enjoyed it so much we stayed another night. I would recommend this place if you plan to go to Huacachina.

Host Jan Carlos gave a very informative introduction to Ica with a free personalised map showing local places of interest, restaurants, supermarkets etc. The location was excellent - 5 minutes walk from the historic centre and restaurants yet not on a main road so much quieter than some hostels in Ica. A taxi to Huacachina is just 7.50 Soles and ive never stayed in such a clean hostel. Although there is no kitchen there is an area with microwave, cutlery and crockery within the rooftop bar / chill out area where you can bring your own beer and food to the large fridge provided. There is free water and the showers were hot and with good pressure. Jan Carlos definitely gets 5 stars for being the most friendly, helpful and kind host.
