Featuring a bar, the hotel is close to several noted attractions, around 400 metres from Almirante Reis Beach, less than 1 km from Marina do Funchal and a 8-minute walk from Sao Tiago Fort. The accommodation provides a 24-hour front desk, airport transfers, room service and free WiFi throughout the property. Miguel was the ultimate host. He provided us with a tour of the property upon arrival and then provided itineraries for each day based on what we wanted to see on the island via our rental car. He was available 24/7 via WhatsApp for any questions including providing a self walking tour of the Christmas lights. The rooftop bar/pool area was very nice with views of the city. Having access to free laundry on the fifth floor was very convenient. The fresh pastries on the doorknob in the morning ❤️

Fabulous hotel 10 mins from the port. Large hotel with large rooms/bathrooms and great sea views. Check in was a breeze, extremely polite and helpful reception staff, very happy to share their knowledge and experiences. They have a great rooftop bar by the pool (too cold to swim when I was here), but I did go to the rooftop bar several times. Staff was amazing, made great drinks (try the Poncha!) and always made me feel welcome. Breakfast was phenomenal, huge breakfast room with hot, cold, veggies, local fruits. Competent and polite staff...always very clean, delicious!! Highly recommend this hotel!! 10 stars!

The rooms come with a flat-screen TV and tea/coffee making facilities. A balcony or patio are featured in certain rooms. Every room includes a private bathroom equipped with a shower. The staff was wonderful, especially Sonia on the front desk. No request seemed to phase her. She organized a tour of north eastern Maderia that was wonderful. The hotel is in an excellent location in the centre of the old part of Funchel, near the Municipal Gardens.

The location is excellent as a starting point for several hikes.

Boasting the most hours of sunshine in Madeira, Ponta Do Sol village is just minutes from the hotel and can be reached with free bikes. Beautiful views, friendly and attentive staff, very nice breakfast. We were there at the beginning of January and were able to enjoy the outdoor pool and ocean views. We had a car (which we recommend so you have the freedom to explore the whole island) and there is free parking available below the hotel on the street with a lift up to the hotel. We will definitely book in again if we come back to Madeira.

Casa Da Piedade’s rooms feature wood furniture, as well as a TV and telephone. Each private bathroom includes a walk-in shower. What a gem of a place.. so many extra special touches that made our stay exceptional. The place itself is simply divine in it's decor, extremely clean and the breakfast was outstanding. The warm and lovely staff really make you feel at home.

The newly renovated 4-star Hotel Baía Azul is ideally situated a 4-minute walk from Funchal’s beachfront. It offers 3 swimming pools, 3 restaurants, a Spa and a sun deck overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and the gardens. Honestly everything! Maybe one of the best hotel stays ever. The sun deck balcony is amazing place to relax and chill, the hotel staff is great, the views stunning. Can’t wait to come back!
