This was an excellent find. We needed to make a last minute reservation and they were very accommodating for our group of 9. Although it is a little out of the way, and you really need a car to get there, it was a beautiful spot and the staff was exceptional.

Sophie (Sof) and Patrice’s (Pat) aka Sofpat fare was more than we could have hoped for. It looked in real life just the same as the pictures in their advert. It was clean, well equiped with everything we required. The fare was private, it was easy to access. The location to town was perfect. To be fortunate enough to have access to a great pool really worked for us and to have our own car to use the whole time we were there was the icing on the cake. As much as everything I have written was superb I really would like to write also that over and above how the fare was and equiped it was the engagement, the hosting, the caring from Sophie, Patrice, Agnes, Mahealani, and Hinenui that my wife and I will most remember. Right from our arrival at the airport and to be greeted by Mahealani and Hinenui these two strong and beautiful Mao’hi women who picked us up, then to meet the matriarch of their family Mama Agnes who brought us a freshly prepared breakfast each morning that was more than my wife and I could eat. We were lucky to meet Sophie and Patrice the day before we left Raiatea and although our time with them was brief, both were the utmost of hosts to us. My wife and I have already decided to return in June 2026 (at the latest) and we’ll only be staying with Sophie, Patrice and their extended family. We’ll start french language lessons as soon as we arrive back to Aotearoa (New Zealand).

Really nice little bungalow, had everything you need to make food. The Wifi was fast and reliable, the bathroom was clean and comfortable. The bed was comfortable making it easy to be well rested for you to explore the island. There is a fan in the room which helped keep cool in the Tahitian heat. The hosts are really friendly and accommodating.

Mayana, the host, is so sweet and kind. She made us feel at home immediatelly and gave us many useful tips for out stay in Raiatea. The cottage is brand new, simple, clean and with pretty much all you need. Breakfast with fresh fruit, coconut bread/home made crepes, home made jam, yogurt, etc is lovely and plentiful.
