Our stay at Sandat was a truly memorable experience. The buildings and setting were wonderful : among lush green forest and beautifully tended gardens. It was so easy to get into Ubud with the free shuttle bus and such a pleasure to come back to the peace and quiet. Our room was one of the “rice barns “ The bedroom was spacious and comfortable and loved having a lower sitting room with a view of the pool. Gorgeous furnishings again and the fresh flowers were a lovely touch. The dining hall was amazing ; like a bamboo cathedral ! Dinner and drinks were excellent, as was the service at all times : the staff were super attentive, polite and courteous. Loved all the linen sofas and chairs , lime washed candles ; and the tablescaping was to die for : beautiful crockery , napkins and cutlery. Afternoon tea served on pretty china with home made biscuits was a real treat. A really special stay , made even more wonderful by the kind , friendly and considerate staff . Thank you !

From the moment I contacted the staff at Paddy’s to pick me up from the airport, the service was at the highest level. Putu and the team made me feel very welcome. The rooms are spacious and beautiful with everything you need. Air conditioning works well and beds super comfortable. Location is great - close to good cafes and restaurants but still feels like you’re a million miles away. A shortcut road puts you in Pererenan in just a short scooter ride. The included breakfast was also a perfect start to the day. Feels much more like a hotel room rather than camping - but for a fraction of the price. Highly recommend.

We had a wonderful stay at Triyana Resort and Glamping. The location is absolutely beautiful—peaceful, scenic, and perfect for a relaxing getaway. The glamping tents were luxurious and well-appointed, complete with a private pool and a separate bathroom, which added an extra touch of comfort and convenience. This was by far our most favourite part of our trip where we rested well but also had great fun and learned a lot about the culture. It is a luxurious tent, exactly like in the pictures facing this amazing view of the jungle and rice terraces which was a delight to wake up to. Every little detail has been thought of, the bed was comfortable, there is mosquito/insect repellents if you wanted (although this is not a problem at all). Breakfast was superb. They also served delicious dinner with excellent variety. There are plenty of opportunities in the area, their website is worth a look, the owners helped us book our trips for excellent price. The owners Toine and Mega were excellent hosts, we felt like visiting family but also had our privacy.

As a solo traveler I felt so safe and welcome. The people who work there are so lovely and caring. The house itself is cute and has all the basics you need and it’s very clean. I had my door open most of the time but there were no mosquito’s in my room. The view is amazing. The tubing they offer is also great fun! The food they offer is simple but good. If you love nature then I highly recommend this place.

Nyoman and Aju made this Retreat to create an accomodation that shows the real balinesian culture. Its goal is to preserve the rice fields from getting sold to bigger enterprises who build more hotels or villas... If you want to know more about the (really deep) traditions of Bali you have to come here! Thank you for letting me get so close to your family and your history!
