This little hidden gem absolutely exceeded my expectations. Though at first the price seems high, when you think of what you would get from a travellodge or similar, then paying for extras link breakfast and drinks, there wasn't much difference for our family of four. The location is spectacular and you feel very much in the wild. We stayed for a night to break up a visit with family and as a Christmas treat and what a treat it was. The yurt is toasty warm thanks to the wood pellet stove, though the outdoor toilet in -7 degrees was a bit chilly! There were heated blankets in the beds though we ended up not needing them. The children loved the outdoor space, the fairy doors, whimsical tree house and mud kitchen. What made it so special for us was the view of the night sky, I don't think I have ever seen so many stars and to fall asleep looking at that through the skylight was so special. The hosts have supplied so many home comforts inside the yurt too, hot chocolate and teas and coffee, a box of board games, books and home made ornaments to compliment the space. The microwave and outdoor fire pit BBQ allowed us to cook a lovely meal and then breakfast was superb, continental style with eggs probably from the chickens in the coop nearby! Would I go back? ABSOLUTELY!

The room was cozy and clean and quiet, with a lovely view. The staff were super friendly and helpful, making sure we had everything we needed, they even had a gas BBQ ready for us. The location was perfect for exploring Roscommon and Westmeath. Highly recommend for a comfortable and relaxing stay!

A lot of effort has been made, theyve thought of everything from lighting, heat and board games etc. We really enjoyed our stay. The views and accommodation are beautiful!

Oisin and Natasha have really put a lot of love and hard work into this place. Everything you need is there. So comfortable, had the best sleep. Will definitely be back!
