Mhamid Sahara Camp - Mhamid El Ghizlane encontra-se em M'hamid e providencia um jardim, um terraço e um restaurante. From the moment we met Larbi there was an instant connection. His welcoming warmth made us feel at home. We picked him up and drove out to his camp not knowing what to expect. We were remote, away from the tours, with waves of golden sand at our feet. After tea, Beth and I walked the dunes to watch a lovely sunset. After a delicious tagine, we were surprised with a full moon rising and a sky of stars. The quiet was deafening, then broken with Berber rhythms from Larbi, his brother Nayim and friend Bryham. We danced by the fire and then shared life stories. We now have a new desert family.

Staying two nights with Younas, Hamid and Rasheed was easily the shining highlight of our three week trip to Morocco. These wise, young, generous men couldn’t have done anything more to warm our hearts, enrich our experience or increase our comfort. They went above and beyond in every way, we absolutely adored them, the accommodation and the magic of their dunes, camels, food, etc. Highly recommend - if we ever make it back, we would love to see them and stay with them again!!

Located close to the Erg Lihoudi dunes. Not big dunes, but you can experience the sand colors during sunset and sunrise. The road to the camp is accessible to any type of car. The communication with the host was perfect, and I was waited in the nearby village to be guided to the camp. Comfortably sleeping in the tent. Clean toilet, hot water, shower. Good meals, but the dinner is overpriced. If you need wifi, the hosts provide hotspot access on their phones. Otherwise, note that Internet over Orange is not reliable. The hosts are very attentive and caring, persistently asking if everything is ok.

We felt very comfortable in Ali's car during the approximately 2-hour drive (60 km) to the Chegaga Berber Camps. The driving service costs 900 MAD (€90) for 2 people. Ali speaks English quite well. Once you arrive at the Chegaga Berber Camp, you first move into your tent and are then served typical Moroccan tea and pastries. After that, you have free time until dinner. After the beautiful sunset, we returned to the Chegaga Berber Camp. It is highly recommended not to walk too far from the camp, otherwise you run the risk of getting lost among the sand dunes. You should definitely record your route with a GPS tracker so that you can find your way back. If you are planning a long tour into the desert, it is advisable to do so with Ali or his brother Mohamed. Dinner started with a kind of vegetable soup, followed by a very good tagine with vegetables and beef. Then there was fruit salad for dessert. Dinner costs 130 MAD (€13) per person. You can also buy water from Ali or his brother Mohamed at any time. Afterwards, a campfire was prepared and we spent the evening together. At this point, we would like to mention that you can hear many animals at night and occasionally some animals scratch at the tent wall. In the morning, there was a fine breakfast with really good scrambled eggs, bread, jam, etc. After that, you have the day at your leisure and you can do sand surfing for free, for example. Basically, there is the option of riding a camel or going on a hike. We took a walk in the desert and were served Moroccan tea and pastries in the afternoon. Basically, there is the option of showering in the communal bathroom. There are toilets, but you have to scoop the flush water yourself from a water bucket using a kind of ladle. After breakfast, it was time to say goodbye.

Nomads Heaven Camp situa-se em M'hamid e dispõe de acomodações com acesso Wi-Fi gratuito e um jardim com um terraço. We enjoyed our stay at Nomads Heaven Camp very much. Moloud is a very experienced host and guide, very proficient in different languages. Very friendly! Food was good and typical moroccon dishes for breakfast and dinner. Everything was reasonably priced. It was very quiet, approximately 6 km from Mhamid. You live in tent-like clay buildings. It was rather warm inside during the night. So we did not need warmer clothes inside. You can walk 200-300 m and you enter an area with smaller dunes with super fine sand. We just sat there and enjoyed a sunset and sunrise there. So it is "desert experience light". Be aware that the real desert with the big 100m high dunes is 60 km/ 2h away. Moloud could have organized a tour by 4x4 and/or camel. But that would have taken us more time, also one person had health issues. So ideally you spend 2-3 days. And stay in the "real" desert overnight.

Wonderful camping site, tents had shower and toilet, very clean, nice dinner and breakfast, amazing bonfire and local music. The staff was very well organised, we took a Jeep ride to the camp and traveled back on camels, both were truly amazing, allows you to enjoy unique nature, very beautiful, highly recommended.

Apresentando vista da cidade em El Gouera, Erg Chigaga Regency Camp apresenta acomodações, um jardim, um salão partilhado, um terraço, um restaurante e acesso imediato às pistas de esqui. 10/10 doesn’t describe how amazing this stay was! A true desert immersion. We had a transfer from Mahamid. Our driver and also our guide spoke great English and provided an amazing experience, showing us the Nomad villages on the way. The food (we had lunch, dinner and breakfast) was one of the best we had during our 10 days in Morocco. The camp definitely exceeded our expectations, was right next to the big dunes, was super comfortable and clean, with our tent having a private bathroom with a shower and hot water. We took a camel ride to the big sand dunes and sand boarded down them. Cannot recommend enough! An absolute must when you’re in Morocco!

The team was so welcoming, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere around the fire under the stars was magical. Highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Morocco!
