The area is really peaceful. Some campers had come from the city for a rest, and said they got it. You are close to all shopping and many possible day trips. The best part was sleeping. The bed was comfortable, cozy, and warm. I slept better than at home! The kitchen was very well set up, with all the amenities of home. Showers were hot and strong. This is comfortable camping in a romantically rustic setting.

We loved the beautiful view from our unit. We stayed in unit 1 a ground floor corner unit and had beautiful views of sunsets and sunrises from our lounge and bedroom.

We were welcomed by the lovely Catherine. Showed to our apartment,what a stunning view and amazing sunsets!.. A very well set out apartment. A few special touches like white robes to wear, hot tub with a view and little chocolates in the fridge for each of us. Our hosts could not have done more for us, even bringing in our washing one day when it started to rain...if We get back to Russell one day, we will definitely look up Bellrock....thanx Cathrine and Stuart.

The view was terrific, great to use the BBQ on the verandah while enjoying the view. Lots of steps which could be bothersome but not for us, just beware. A handy lift for the luggage was appreciated. The steps enable you to gain the height for the view!

We really enjoyed our few days at Paradise on The Strand. The location was perfect, our rooms were comfortable and tastefully decorated and the views over the bay were incredible, especially at sunset. Karen was thoughtful, helpful with local advice and provided an excellent continental breakfast that we really enjoyed. We cannot speak more highly of our stay and would love to have been able to spend more time there.

Beautifully situated over the water at Opua, the veranda views are unsurpassed. Our hosts were fantastic and very accommodating. They have considered every need in setting up the unit. The sounds of water lapping under foot lull you to sleep.
