Fabulous hot showers and electric blankets

Hot shower was good and it was spacious. Friendly staff.

A very lovely and cozy home-feel place, family friendly. Functional kitchen with great range of cooking supplies, lounge has comfortable couches and TV with Netflix, fireplace and heat pump. Nice hot shower, supplied good choices of shampoo, conditioner and body wash. Has two heated towel racks. Good quality comfortable beds, all with electric blankets. Easy parking, short driving distance to town centre. Nice friendly host, great communication, turned on the heat pump before we arrived.

Let’s be real, this is a basic motel that provides a good spot to rest your head on the road to somewhere else. Don’t expect the Ritz. But if you’re looking for a hot shower, clean bed linens, and a friendly owner that will try and accommodate your needs (like charge your car or recommend a good place to eat) then this is perfect.

The glamping tents were so luxurious! Everything felt really clean and looked after.

The lodge is bright and colourful. We had our own bunk room which was close to the bathrooms. The kitchen was big with lots of utensils. Great location for anyone doing the Tongariro Crossing or exploring the National Park. Adjacent bar was fun to pop in to and staff at both the hostel and bar were very friendly. Can highly recommend catching sunrise, the stars and sunset.

Hot shower with water pressure par excellence! Sunshine at breakfast and sunset at dinner. Three dining areas. Kuni kuni pigs, pet rabbit, goats, hens, sheep, cows and Shetland pony were delightful ... and quiet.
