One has to stay there to experience the beauty of silence, starry skies and beautiful sunrise and sunset. Ali who is the co-owner and manager of the property was extremely helpful, very friendly and attentive to the guests.

We had such a great time at Thousand Stars Desert Camp. The place is absolutely beautiful — right in the middle of the dunes, super peaceful and perfect for watching the sunset and the stars at night. Our tent was cozy and comfortable, and everything was really well taken care of. But what made the experience truly special was Ali — he’s such a kind and genuine host! He made us feel completely at home. If you want a real desert experience with great vibes and an awesome host, this is the place to go. We’ll definitely come back one day!

An absolutely unforgettable stay in a truly peaceful and beautiful desert camp. The serene atmosphere, delicious traditional Omani food, stunning tents and fun activities, together with the incredibly friendly and genuinely hospitable guide Hamid, made this a magical experience from start to finish. Would highly recommend to people who would like something quite , serene and a notification free experience ;)

This was a wonderful experience and we enjoyed so much about it. Saud has created a beautiful, quiet, comfortable space for a small number of people to have an intimate experience in the desert, an homage to his experience growing up in Bidiyah. From beautiful tents to private bathrooms to wonderful food, Desert Waves is an amazing place to experience the desert, the stars, the scenery and experiences like camel rides or visits to local spots. We met some lovely people (fellow travelers) in the camp that we shared meals with, and Saud and his staff are very helpful, informative and friendly. FYI, two taxi drivers from Muscat quoted us 50 OMR each way to drive us to Bidiyah, and renting a car ourselves was less than half of that amount.
