It's peaceful and tranquil. It's the perfect place if you want to truly experience nature. Falling asleep near the river is a truly wonderful experience.

My 3rd visit and as usual everything is perfect. The camp is rustic but very comfortable with generosity. Games drives are top level, to come back again and again

Location just outside Kruger & great views over the river. All staff were friendly, food was excellent and lots of it!

Shindzela is a tented safari camp, set in a traversing area within the Timbavati Private Nature Reserve, part of the greater Kruger National Park, South Africa. Shindzela far exceeded our expectations. The property is beautiful and much more of a glamping experience than a camp. The communal dining spaces are beautiful especially the candlelit dinners under the stars. The food was exceptional. Our safari guides Sam and Edward were extremely knowledgeable and we had the closest animal encounters on our Shindzela safaris. Watching the elephants visiting the river bed each day at the campsite is so magical! Would highly recommend Shindzela to anyone wanting an immersive safari experience that is still comfortable and amazing value.

Experience a tented safari adventure at a ‘big 5’ reserve in the greater Kruger National Park area, where 2 en suite tented camps offer you the chance to get back to nature. If you want an adventure, this is the place. It isn't luxury but is extremely comfortable and compared to other tented camps you do get good value with all meals included and two game drives a day. The tents are comfortable and you really are in the wilderness. We even saw a rhino as we drove to the camp. The guides are superb, Brilliant lived us to his name and Keke was outstanding. We saw a lion on a kill, two lionesses and a cub and cheetahs. Elephants came to the pool to drink twice. One night we had lions in the camp, so it is worth bearing in mind that this really is wilderness.
