It was a great breakaway for me and my son. If ever you feel like a 'Robinson Crusoe' vibe then this place will tick all the boxes. We enjoyed the deck overlooking the stream and the ability to cook outside. We also enjoyed the proximity to the sea and one has the whole length of the coast to explore at leisure. Best of all, and this was quite a surprise for me, was the internet connectivity. I would have loved to have spent a few days working from there with connectivity like that. We were warned about the noisy frogs, but we loved this symphony at night. Actually as we now live in the Netherlands looking for natural sounds to stream is the closest we can get to the real thing. So, definitely best experienced for real!

Luxury Tented Village @ Urban Glamping offers luxury tented accommodation in St Lucia. There is an outdoor swimming pool and large BBQ area where guests can mingle. We were warmly welcomed from the reception to the luxurious tents that were spotlessly clean and cool. I definitely recommend Urban Glamping. Amenities are nearby, and the staff is so welcoming, very friendly, and helpful

We loved everything about the place. The warm welcome and amazing hospitality shown by Ellie ( camp manager) and Mila [ professional hunting guide ) was just on another level. Ellie' pap and stories about Mozambique and sitting around the camp fire really made this a memorable experience. Thank you both for a truly South African bush experience.

Located in the Manyoni Private Game Reserve in the north of KwaZulu-Natal, this intimate tented bush camp offers an open air boma, a bar and an outdoor pool with sun loungers. Mavela is a hidden gem and the team there should be congratulated on creating the most wonderful place to live amongst and experience wild Africa at it's best. For those looking for an alternative and more affordable alternative to the Kruger, this place ticks all the boxes. The quality of the accommodation is exceptional, the staff were unbelievable thoughtful and professional, and the location is simply stunning. How the chef and her team created such exquisite food in the bush beggars belief! We were so spoilt by Catlin our safari guide who treated us to the most genuine of bush experiences. Her passion for the local flaura and fauna was infectious and we learnt so much as well as just being able to sit back in awe of everything we saw. We came for the experience, not to tick Big five boxes, but were treated to mating lion, up close and personal sightings of elephant and so much more. The Manyoni Reserve's restrictions on vehicle numbers in and around significant sightings meant that we always felt that the wildlife came first and meant that we always felt like the privileged few, when we were invited into their world. This was our teenage boys first experience of wild Africa and we have no doubt that she has got under their skin and convinced them to keep coming back for more.

Kosi Forest Lodge is privately tucked into the tranquil sand forest alongside the Kosi lake system, located in the Isimangaliso World Heritage Park. Nice variety, very tasty meals and very friendly professional staff. Lovely atmosphere and exceptional location in middle the forest. Activities well organized and interesting with guides looking attentive after us.
