If you want to get a very local and authentic experience, this is your place. Isuru knows a lot about nature and his country and we talked about so many things, we learned so much from Sri Lanka and its culture. The food was amazing, everything was delicious, I would say that is the best food we’ve tasted in Sri Lanka (rice and curry🤤). The location was perfect, so quite, not so far from the national park, also Isuru has a Tuktuk. You would be surrounded by nature in every moment, see the fireflies during the night.. ✨also you could have a walk next to the river and see a lot of birds ! The bed was so comfortable and the airco was perfect! Everything was so clean. The safari that we booked with him was amazing, i totally recommend it. It was one of the best experiences that I lived in my life🐘

The campground is a 30-minute drive from the main entrance of the park and a 45-minute drive from the Elephant transit home. Colombo is approximately 101 mi away while Bandaranaike International Airport is 111 mi from the airport. We had the best two night stay here with Solomon and the boys, the staff could not have been more attentive. They organised lunch for us on our arrival which was above and beyond what we expected. The gentleman with the glasses who delivered our induction (apologies I cannot remember his name), was so friendly and welcoming, he (and the rest of the team) went above and beyond to make sure this experience was unforgettable! The food was amazing both nights, and catered to dietary requirements. We ate outside under the stars both nights which was lovely. The tent itself was perfect for our needs, the bed was comfortable and we slept very well both nights. You could hear nature which was wonderful. Solomon is a very knowledgeable and interesting man, he provided great insight into the nature around the camp very locally and also in the safari park. We booked our safari through Big Game Camp and had Solomon as our guide which we could not recommend more, he was quick at pointing out a myriad of animals, whilst also being aware that the park is a safari not a zoo so you are not guaranteed to see anything, despite this we saw many elephants, different species of birds, mongoose etc. We would recommend this to anyone travelling to Sri Lanka!!

This ecolodge was enjoyable for my children, husband and myself. The tents were roomy and had flushing toilets and warm showers. The dinners were elegant on white tablecloth under the stars. The safari guide and driver did an excellent job pointing out elephant herds, birds and crocodiles at this park. I recommend this lodge.
