The tent was very comfortable and clean, staff attentive and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble.
But the best thing was the safaris. Well planned with extremely knowledgeable guides. Especially Mark is a walking encyclopedia of local history, geography and fauna and passed on his enthusiasm for the local wildlife.
Thoroughly recommended.

Beautiful stay that transported me away to nature. The camp was stunning, with amazing outdoor meals, wonderful trails, and comfortable and well appointed tents. Beyond the site itself, everyone there was so caring, attentive, and knowledgeable. The safari was AMAZING- fun, educational, and we were lucky enough to spot a leopard and even a jungle cat. This is thanks to a keen eye and ability to know where to go, which was also away from the really busy sites so it felt much more private and enjoyable than expected.

The entire team of staff were absolute stars! They messaged us ahead of check in for some final arrangements. Upon arrival, the check-in was quick and the brief was easy to comprehend. We checked in at 3pm and got to do the complementary afternoon bush walk with Malik (and the other kind gentleman I forgot his name). The tent and the surroundings were clean. I loved the sustainability concept. Water is available in a dispenser at reception and the room water bottles are made of glass. Tea and coffee with milk were also free anytime of the day. The playgrounds were nice and big and a couple of kids played cricket freely. They have lockers at the reception to keep your valuables. Again at 9 pm, we went for another complementary bush walk where we saw tarantulas and other nocturnal insects and birds. In the morning, we went for a safari but didn't know that it would extend slightly past the checkout time. The duty manager was kind to us and let us pack our things in no rush. He offered tea and coffee as we waited for our tuktuk which his team ordered. Also..When we checked out, my friend had forgotten her hair clip in the tent and one kind gentleman (one of the housekeeping staff I presume) ran after our tuk tuk to give it to us :) I recommend this place to everyone for an authentic camp experience!!

I agree with the previous reviews. The location is absolutely spectacular. Most definitely the most scenic view we’ve had in Sri Lanka. Its also very private and we had the beach and dunes virtually to ourselves and the other couple that were in the Dune camp. The food and the service was great.
The tents are a bit dated, but the beds are very comfortable and all have nets. This is not super luxury but the price is also much less than the super luxury campsites. We would highly recommend this place. They also arranged the safari for us. We have heard horror stories re the jeep drivers at Yala but the driver they arranged was very good and mindful of not disturbing the wildlife.

A recently renovated campground located in Yala, Rivosen Camp Yala Safari features a garden. Among the facilities of this property are a restaurant, a 24-hour front desk and full-day security, along with free WiFi throughout the property. Free private parking is available and the campground also provides car hire for guests who want to explore the surrounding area. - If you’re heading to Yala National Park, Rivosen Camp Yala Safari might be up your street. - Located close the entrance of Yala National Park, this accommodation is really off the beaten track. - This is the perfect opportunity to go off-grid and you’ll be well looked after by the very kind local staff. - One example of this was when I didn’t have the right plug to charge my phone and they took it home for a few hours and returned it to me, fully charged. - During my stay, one of the guys brought me to Kirinda and the local beaches. - I was the only tourist and it really felt like a unique adventure. - Manjula and his team prepared local breakfast, lunch and dinner and really did all they could to make me feel welcome. This is one place where you certainly won’t go hungry. - The accommodation at first glance is very rustic and definitely not for everyone but I actually slept like a baby. - They also set up a bonfire and you can sit under the stars at night under the clear skies. - I was up at 4:30am for the Safari, all arranged by Manju. They also prepare a packed lunch for the Safari which was very kind of them. When I got back, breakfast was ready. While their English is limited, all the team made a great effort to chat with me, sharing about their family and lives in Sri Lanka. - This is one experience I know I’ll talk about for years to come and that alone gives this place a 10/10.

Exellent and relaxing place to Stay in Yala. The owner was really helpful .located in nearly beach . Delicious food and very clean place. They organized the Safari tours very reasonable prices. Would recommend this place 100%!
Yakaduru is the best safari and camping place. You can reach the camp easily from the main road using any vehicle. The accommodations are good and offer a unique village-like experience. The safari is excellent, and you can request specific things you need. They arranged our food as we requested, packing it for our safari trip. The stay was comfortable and friendly. Initially, we only planned to go on the safari, but we also enjoyed a BBQ night, a 2-hour bush walk, and a beach drive. It was a great experience!
staying here exceeded all our expectations! The chalet is amazing and the staff does everything they can to make your stay unforgettable. The host knew a lot about nature and the animals that live in the area. We had a bush walk, a cup of tea with the sunset. An adventurous ride in the dark to the beach, a campfire with a beer and a delicious dinner. Recommended !
We stayed in the tented lodge for one night. The lodge is amazing. It is beautifully built, very clean with mosquito nets on every entrance and window. The open air bathroom rounded up the glamping experience. There is electricity and even wifi in the tents. We booked two safaris and one starlight BBQ. The safari organisation went smooth and the guides were really good. The dinner was outstanding and one of our highlights of the whole vacation. The owners are super friendly. Would definately recommend!
Yakaduru Yala offers a remarkable camping experience within Sri Lanka's Yala buffer zone. The standout feature was the exceptional safari they organized, providing a close encounter with the region's diverse wildlife. The enchanting live flute music atop Yakaduru rock during sunset added a unique touch to the serene atmosphere. The campsite's perfect blend of nature, adventure, and cultural elements made it an unforgettable stay. Highly recommended for those seeking an immersive and harmonious connection with the beauty of Yala.
Wonderful camp site close to the nationalpark. The awesome staff organized a beach dinner for my wifes birthday. Just us, at the ocean close to the entrance of the main gate, in the middle of nowhere. It was the most magical experience and i can recommend this to everyone. The camp itself is amazing! You have your private little pool, an outdoor bathroom and a beautiful glam tent.
This was a unique experience. The glamping was really nice. The tents are comfy and nice. It’s right next to the reserve so location wise it’s great. You see a lot of monkeys and lizzards. You should definitely eat dinner there. It’s dark with only a campfire and it was so cosy and the food was really good. We also did the safari with them and it was great.
We loved the proximity to nature and the views of the waterhole from the hotel pool. Watching the animals go about their day, and coming and going around the lake was like being on safari. The staff were very friendly and attentive and the rooms were great; stylish, comfortable and very clean. We always felt safe. It was also nice to be close to the beach and to hear the nearby waves. The breakfast buffet was extensive and delicious.
