What's there not to like? The room or the tent, while it's basic, it's self sufficient bug free with an ensuite shower and toilet. The grounds around the camp is spacious and a true immersion in mother nature. The food is authentic Sri Lankan cuisine. The 4 dogs are therapeutic to stroke. The safari tour was guided by Sudesh who has eagle's vision for spotting wild life from miles away. He'd helped us to spot snake, monitor lizard, all kinds of birds, crocodiles and definitely a leopard resting on a tree 20m away.

We were thrilled to have the opportunity to stay inside Yala National Park, a rare and exceptional experience, as mobile camping is often unavailable in other parks. We initially had reservations about staying in the heart of the jungle, but this concern was quickly forgotten—the location is absolutely amazing, offering the real jungle experience we were seeking, free from the usual human or vehicle noise. This truly is the best place in the area, situated immediately next to the park, where we were delighted to see a wide variety of birds around the camp, and a nearby lake yielded incredible sightings, including four elephants and numerous crocodiles. The overall service and culinary experience were exceptional. The incredibly friendly staff always worked hard to ensure our stay was comfortable, and we truly appreciated their efforts, understanding that running a camp inside the National Park means they cannot offer the same luxuries as conventional hotels. Sara, the manager, is a good and brave person to successfully run this challenging operation with his dedicated team. The food was a major highlight and truly the most delicious we had in Sri Lanka. The chef prepared the food exactly to our preference, and the staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, going above and beyond when we requested Halal food by personally showing us their preparations. The glamping tent was spacious and well-made, and we enjoyed a delightful BBQ around a bonfire. Our full-day safari was very successful; we were lucky enough to spot two leopards and elephants, making for an impressive wildlife experience. A memorable moment occurred when a leopard approached close to our tent in the evening—we suspect the aroma of our cooking meat might have been the attraction! Overall, the seamless operation, high standard of service, excellent food, and the thrill of the jungle proximity made this a truly remarkable stay.

Beautiful stay that transported me away to nature. The camp was stunning, with amazing outdoor meals, wonderful trails, and comfortable and well appointed tents. Beyond the site itself, everyone there was so caring, attentive, and knowledgeable. The safari was AMAZING- fun, educational, and we were lucky enough to spot a leopard and even a jungle cat. This is thanks to a keen eye and ability to know where to go, which was also away from the really busy sites so it felt much more private and enjoyable than expected.

Big Game Yala - by Eco Team is located on the edge of Yala National Parks, a 20-minute drive from the Katagamuwa park entrance. This tour was great. We stayed one night and did an afternoon safari and morning safari before leaving. The staff was excellent, tent was great, food was good and the safari exceeded expectations. we were lucky to see 3 leopards on the morning safari and many elephants.

I agree with the previous reviews. The location is absolutely spectacular. Most definitely the most scenic view we’ve had in Sri Lanka. Its also very private and we had the beach and dunes virtually to ourselves and the other couple that were in the Dune camp. The food and the service was great. The tents are a bit dated, but the beds are very comfortable and all have nets. This is not super luxury but the price is also much less than the super luxury campsites. We would highly recommend this place. They also arranged the safari for us. We have heard horror stories re the jeep drivers at Yala but the driver they arranged was very good and mindful of not disturbing the wildlife.

Rivosen Camp Yala Safari localiza-se a 16 km de Tissa Wewa e fornece acomodações com um jardim, um restaurante e serviço de quartos, para sua conveniência. - If you’re heading to Yala National Park, Rivosen Camp Yala Safari might be up your street. - Located close the entrance of Yala National Park, this accommodation is really off the beaten track. - This is the perfect opportunity to go off-grid and you’ll be well looked after by the very kind local staff. - One example of this was when I didn’t have the right plug to charge my phone and they took it home for a few hours and returned it to me, fully charged. - During my stay, one of the guys brought me to Kirinda and the local beaches. - I was the only tourist and it really felt like a unique adventure. - Manjula and his team prepared local breakfast, lunch and dinner and really did all they could to make me feel welcome. This is one place where you certainly won’t go hungry. - The accommodation at first glance is very rustic and definitely not for everyone but I actually slept like a baby. - They also set up a bonfire and you can sit under the stars at night under the clear skies. - I was up at 4:30am for the Safari, all arranged by Manju. They also prepare a packed lunch for the Safari which was very kind of them. When I got back, breakfast was ready. While their English is limited, all the team made a great effort to chat with me, sharing about their family and lives in Sri Lanka. - This is one experience I know I’ll talk about for years to come and that alone gives this place a 10/10.

A 13 km de Tissa Wewa, YalaWay Nature Villa apresenta acomodações, restaurante, bicicletas gratuitas, uma piscina exterior e um jardim. I had a wonderful experience at Yala Way Nature Villa. It provided us with excellent family-friendly services. Located in a very quiet environment, this is a great place for those who love the environment. Delicious local food was served and we were able to spend a beautiful night with barbecue. The place has been renovated with a new look and is very clean. That night spent under a starry sky made our lives beautiful.
