Featuring a bar, outdoor pool and garden with BBQ, Urban Camp is 3 km from Windhoek city centre. Offering free Wi-Fi and free private parking, the property is 600 metres from Joe’s Beerhouse. Very helpful and friendly staff. The urban camp is nicely decorated. I can warmly recommend the beer garden and restaurant. My tent was hot during the day but cooled down during the night, so sleeping was pleasant. There are ear plug provided, which are a very thoughtful addition. Communal bathrooms were clean. The camp even has a "waterhole" that attracts yellow mongoose and birds.

We were impressed with the solitude and beauty of this working farm. We were lucky to arrive after the successful rains filled the lake, creating such a calm mood, especially at sunset and sunrise. Each chalet is placed for privacy. The design is simple yet very interesting with warm touches. We slept like babes in the quiet with super comfortable beds. The family was lovely and attentive to our comfort, building a fire in the evening for the hot water tank and sharing the history of this unique spot. The dogs came at no cost🌺 as did the cattle. If you’re looking for a peaceful, starry place not too far — but far enough — from Windhoek, you’ve found it here.

The campsite is pretty remote and has very clean showers and bathrooms. You can see a lot of wildlife around and the staff of the lodge was super friendly. We really loved the campsite and is surpassed our expectations. The lodge seemed also very nice but we didnt spend to much time there. We would defently return here and also recommend it!
