Camp Gecko is one of the best memories of our trip! The setting of the large, comfortable tents in the quiet of the desert; the fantastic dinner braai packs with venison steak, salad, home-made bread and even a dessert (as we were not set up for camping, we were given crockery to use for our meal); the swim in the fish pond/pool with mountains in the background; the long shared breakfast table, where we met interesting fellow travellers. The owner Anna and Ernst at reception, who were both lovely, and the beer in the fridge there which was always cold :). We are seriously considering going back there for a longer stay!

At Kronenhof Campsites tiene alojamiento con restaurante, una pileta al aire libre, un jardín y salón compartido. Duwisib Castle queda a 22 km de distancia. I was at one of the private campsites. Beautifully designed and built with everything an overlander could want. Absolutely superb! Sites well spaced with about 400m between sites. Highly recommended.

Ubicado en Solitaire, en la región de Khomas Region, Namib Desert Campsite tiene alojamiento con estacionamiento privado gratis. Cerca de el camping, podés hacer senderismo. We used the campsite, very quiet and nice facilities. We were able to relax at the pool and had dinner at the lodge.

The camp is perfect for a quiet stay, has great facilities - clean with hot water. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, making sure we had everything we needed, ready to accommodate and even supporting when we were surprised in the night by the visit of an oryx(!). Highly recommend.
