Beautifully kept campsite with private bathroom that has enough hot water every evening for 4 very dusty travellers! The staff were very helpful and accommodating, especially when we arrived after dark due to a luggage mishap.

Camp Gecko is one of the best memories of our trip! The setting of the large, comfortable tents in the quiet of the desert; the fantastic dinner braai packs with venison steak, salad, home-made bread and even a dessert (as we were not set up for camping, we were given crockery to use for our meal); the swim in the fish pond/pool with mountains in the background; the long shared breakfast table, where we met interesting fellow travellers. The owner Anna and Ernst at reception, who were both lovely, and the beer in the fridge there which was always cold :). We are seriously considering going back there for a longer stay!

Its a vast vast vast piece of land, the campsites are far apart, facilities are perfect and very very clean. The vistas are beautiful. Situado en Solitaire, en la región de Khomas Region, Namib Desert Campsite cuenta con hospedaje con estacionamiento privado de cortesía. We used the campsite, very quiet and nice facilities. We were able to relax at the pool and had dinner at the lodge.

The camp is perfect for a quiet stay, has great facilities - clean with hot water. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, making sure we had everything we needed, ready to accommodate and even supporting when we were surprised in the night by the visit of an oryx(!). Highly recommend.
