Before entering the desert, I received clear instructions to have the tires of my 4*4 partially deflated at a recommended shop. Worked seamlessly. The journey through the desert to the camp is quite self explanatory, and with a proper car it is easy (even for a novice desert driver like me). The tent was marvellous. Spacious, enough for two persons, and the view is brilliant. The open air bath room tops it off. I joined the "desert bashing" experience, to watch the sunset from the dunes. Quite exciting to experience like this. Made some wonderful picture. The dinner was buffet style and I regard it as value for money. The breakfast in the main building was good to get the day started, with plenty of choice of warm and cold dishes. Good service, and attentive staff.

The camp was private - it was like we were the only people in the desert. Our host Hamad indulged us with 4x4 treks through the dunes to look for camels. Hussan , our chef (cook is not enough to describe him) produced exceptional food in the worse conditions! Day 1 there was torrential rain, thunder and lightning. Everyone rallied to ensure we had a dry and comfortable sleep. Day 2 a wind blew up to be a dust storm worthy of a movie! That was joined by a thunder storm that rained red dirt. Again we were kept fed and comfortable by Hussan. We'll be back!

The food was very wonderful, everything was fresh and the meals were abundant. The fireplace session was also very comfortable. This star sky and camel rides will remain in our minds forever. We loved our time in the camp. Our only complaint is that it was too short, but it was of our making. We chose to stay in the tents for a more authentic experience. They were very comfortable, not as in the pictures, it is much better than that. I recommend a camel ride to watch the stars at night.
