The location of MONDI in Grundlsee is very convenient - we took a day trip to Hallstatt which was just 30 minutes drive, and another day we drove the panoramic route to Loser Altaussee. The MONDI resort staff were very welcoming and friendly - my husband and I are American and English speaking and the staff was always quick to accommodate with a smile. We enjoyed the spa / wellness area each day during our stay - while the steam bath was out of service, we still were able to use the 3 other saunas and the pool. The food was exceptional as well - from breakfast to dinner, we left satisfied and pleased with each meal. They offer a seasonal venison menu and we loved trying new things we don't normally get to eat! The chalets themselves are so charming - our studio had a mini kitchen, supplied with utensils, dishes, and cookware, and a good size refrigerator. The heated floor in the bathroom was awesome, too! Can't say enough great things about our stay.

We had a wonderful two-night stay at this beautiful property near Hallstatt. The views from our balcony were incredible — mountains, pastures, and the Alps — the perfect setting to enjoy morning coffee. The location was ideal: just 10–15 minutes from the nearby lakes and about 20 minutes to Hallstatt, making it easy to explore the whole area. The chalet was spacious, spotless, and very comfortable. The kitchen was fully equipped, and we even cooked dinner one evening. The host was warm and welcoming, greeting us with a bottle of wine and some olive oil — such a thoughtful gesture. It quiet at night and perfect for stargazing! Lots of biking and walking trails around as well. We truly loved our stay and would happily return!

Due to an unexpected emergency we made a very last second reservation. Lisa took amazing care of us. The apartment was warm, cozy, and very comfortable. The kitchenette was very well stocked and even had coffee beans in the machine, orange juice in the fridge, and some farm fresh eggs. Lisa went above and beyond helping us get our emergency fixed while making sure our stay was top notch. Great place to stay.

Only reachable by cable car, Lodge am Krippenstein is located on the Krippenstein Mountain, at 6.8 feet above sea level and just a 2-minute walk from the mountain station of the Dachstein-Krippenstein...
