For the active travellers, a chalet is a great mix of the outdoors and the snug inside. Usually fully furnished and self-catered, chalets are typically wooden and in the Alpine region of Europe, but can also be found elsewhere in the world. Characterised by their sloped roofs, chalets can be single units or separate apartments, and are ideal for skiing holidays.

We loved the location of this lovely little cabin. The wood fire kept us cosy and warm in very cold weather. Our hosts made us welcome and made sure we had everything we needed and were comfortable.

The seclusion was lovely. All the chalets were spread out from each other and very private. It was quiet and dark at night. The owners were lovely too. It was really easy to get to all the local hikes from there which is why we had chosen it. Fireplace a fantastic treat. Washing machine a bonus.

Lovely cabin immersed in nature. The best part about it is the wildlife (kangaroos, kookaburras and other birds) that graze/ hang out around the cabins. Exceptionally clean and well equipped (kitchen sponges / soap / tea / coffee, oil, salt and pepper). There is a shared bbq area which is also great, with gas barbecues and picnic tables. The cabins also have a fireplace, and a bucket of wood is provided to use. And it's not far from town!

The chalet is spacious with all needed facilities. The rustic fireplace adds to the experience and the caretaker, Teresa was so lovely to guide us to our chalet and spend some time to help us settle in eventhough it was quite late in the evening.
