The Chalés do Beto are located on the fringes of Macacos, in the midst of surrounding bush. The Chalé I was assigned had everything I needed to be comfortable and to make meals. The Chalés are a short walk away from a lovely (free) public park that has bush, bush-walks, a river and a waterfall. The city of Macacos is a longer walk but still doable. In any case, the host - Beto - provides guests with a number of whatsapp numbers for food delivery, if you want to have food delivered to the Chalés. There was no wifi there but this was a positive for me and (I suspect) for many other people. The mobile coverage for my provider - Claro - was patchy but sufficient to get basic tasks done. Finally, Beto was a wonderful host. Beto communicated very well beforehand and made sure I had all the information I needed to arrive prepared. When I arrived, Beto did everything he could to make the stay as easy and peaceful as possible. Beto is also a wonderful conversationalist and I enjoyed talking to him. I recommend the Chalés do Beto if you are looking for a convenient way to "get away" from the hustle of the city, and to be surrounded by calmness, tranquility and nature.
