We had an amazing time in San Juanillo. The beach is within walking distance. Had a flat tyre, staff immediatly helped us to get it fixed. Everyone was superfriendly. We also appreciated the flexibility because we needed to delay our vacavions, was no problem! Pool is very chilled and clean.

The location was perfect for us, close to the beach so easy to go down for a swim and just to sunbathe. I enjoyed being away from a large, busy area but close enough to a local shop that has everything you might need. The rooms were spacious and clean. The restaurant was lovely with a good variety of food, even many vegan options (huge bonus!), a huge selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks and the cocktails were VERY tasty. The grounds of the hotel were immaculate and added a wonderful feel to the stay. A big bonus was having the tennis court on-site, it was nice to play a little tennis after days of doing nothing but relaxing!

Best surprise of our holiday, Michiel and Lieke are Dutch hosts and do everything to make you feel at home, from good breakfast to help us book a tour to see turtles laying eggs on the beach.The bungalows on this eco lodge are spacious and surrounded by a beautiful green park.The area is quiet, but close to the beach etc. We definately want to come back.

All of it is just great. Felt like living in a little jungle paradise for 4 days. The owners Karen and Olivier were amazing hosts, always engaging in good conversation, which made the stay feel even more cozy. We did the trapeze class and it was fantastic as well. Gracias y hasta pronto!

We loved our stay at Mikado Lodge! It is an incredible property in the middle of the jungle. The room and deck were lovely as you feel like you are in the tree canopy with the sounds of howler monkeys, cicadas, and views of deer and so many species of birds. Bring your binoculars! We enjoyed the pool time, the little trail on site, and the troup of monkeys that came swinging through the trees through in the morning. Aside from the beauty of the nature, everything is just so polished and well-taken care of. It is clear that a lot of thought and time has gone into the design and care of this boutique hotel. The owner, Lolo, was a gracious and accommodating host. She whipped up some delicious meals and was so sweet with our one year old. Playa Avellana is close by so you can go from jungle to beach in about 15 minutes! We would definitely stay there again.

Hotel Hibiscus is a great place to stay! Even if the rooms are very simple, the keyfactors match totally. Very comfortable and super clean bed, great internet which offers you wifi at the beach, super well working Airconditioner and Van, and a big fridge. Christian, the owner, is super friendly and helpful and you have just 50steps to the beach!
