We had a wonderful time at Maze Lodge in the middle of the jungle! Sure the road is a little bumpy but nothing a 4x4 car (we had a Suzuki Jimny) can't handle...a little adventure ride for free :) We want to thank our hosts Frida and Alexander so much for hospitality and their support! Excellent communication and beautiful accommodation. The owner is incredibly caring, and we managed to communicate in English since I don’t speak Spanish. I’m so grateful for that. Everything was absolutely perfect. Whatever we needed, we received. We were even able to do our laundry and hang it out to dry, which was amazing. We ended up extending our stay because the environment was so stunning. Surrounded by parrots, hummingbirds in the garden, and even toucans that you could see or hear—such a magical place! The people were friendly, and everything was just wonderful. On our last day, we had a flat tire, and her son kindly helped me replace it. There aren’t many people like that in the world. I’m already looking forward to coming back next year! :)

Location - you can step into the water directly from the hotel’s steps. Spacious room with the air con. Lovely pool area and decor all around the place. Free bikes and kayaks to use! Extremely helpful, approachable and accommodating staff and owner (kindly agreed to for us to stay and use facilities, kayaks etc after checking out!)

The staff and especially the owner were really really friendly and helpful. We really felt comfortable and welcomed here. There's easy access to restaurants, the beach, airport and wildlife. Would definitely come back here.

Thank you for your exceptional service. The hotel manager provided us with a lot of information and helped us with the on-site arrangements. The accommodation was clean and in a quiet area of town. The food was fresh, local, and delicious. The resort is beautifully landscaped and has a magical quality with all the old-growth trees, art, and cool design. It is a very relaxing place but also offers activities with the free use of boogie boards and surfboards. The staff was very polite and helpful. Everything was wonderful for our family vacation. I love this place and hope to return again. We also spent one night at the Hilton Botanika resort and everyone preferred Iguana Lodge for its authenticity and beauty.
