Centrally located at start of Pennine Way with easy access to multiple hiking routes minutes from Edale train station. Accommodation was right beside the Nags Head with a great menu. Staff were just amazing - Mrs Doyle especially! Accommodation was always warm as the cold weather came in.

Great attention to details. We are dog owners and loved all the dog attention we got. This was beyond expectations. We are talking about coming again. Location is peaceful and quiet. You can enjoy the sunrise from the hut. The room is very cozy and the bed very comfortable. You have a fully functional kitchen too.

This place is fantastic. It was super tidy and comfortable. The small apartment is located on a shared bigger garden but you have own private terrace. Kitchen offers lots of equipment to cook. I got a little welcome package of milk, cereals, marmelade and laundry supply. The place is super quiet and you can relax very good.

Looking for a cabin?

For the active travellers, a chalet is a great mix of the outdoors and the snug inside. Usually fully furnished and self-catered, chalets are typically wooden and in the Alpine region of Europe, but can also be found elsewhere in the world. Characterised by their sloped roofs, chalets can be single units or separate apartments, and are ideal for skiing holidays.

We stayed in the starling hut and it was absolutely beautiful! The place was spotless clean, with everything you could think of and a bunch of additional ‘going the extra mile’ you wouldnt think off provided by our wonderful host, Nicky. We could not thank Nicky enough for making my birthday treat so special. My husband and I have pretty high standards when we stay away and they were truly exceeded. Winnie our dog loved every moment of it and the focus Nicky puts in to making your fur babes stay is amazing. Thank you so much, we will be back!

Staying in a shepherd's hut was on my bucket list. This more than lived up to my expectations. There were so many little extra touches like chocolates, sweets, milk, prosecco and beer. The furnishings are lovely. Quirky and artistic. The owners have given it all a lot of thought. The setting is magnificent. Very peaceful. I wish we could have stayed longer!

The host, Nicky went above and beyond to make our stay as amazing as it was. There were treats for the dogs, towels, blankets and toys. The dogs could run around free in the meadow and they had the best time. There were treats for us too. The hut was so clean and comfy with so many extra touches. It was the perfect place to stay with dogs. It truly is dog friendly. We had the most amazing weekend.

Great location and perfect for a couple and their dog! Although small in size the hut offers everything you would need for a couple of nights. Plenty to do in the area and location of hut is central to most of these.

The location of the Shepherds hut is lovely! Such beautiful views across the peaks and super close to both Bakewell and Chatsworth house, our must visits. Nicky was really helpful in the run up to our visit. Can't fault our stay.

A great place to stay if you are looking to get away from it all. Nicky was excellent and made us feel really welcome, even going to the trouble with little touches which made the stay more individual. Our dog particularly loved the meadow and the space to run around. The hut was finished to a really high standard and was spotlessly clean.

Fantastic break away. First time in a shepherd’s hut and it was more than I thought it would be. Nicky had thought of everything to make our stay comfortable, including a few treats for the dogs. Location was easy to find and perfect for the Peaks- as were her recommendations for food! Well worth it and hope to go back 😊
