We,as family, with two little children came to Scotland to run Loch Ness marathon. Right place, set up,mood , mental (apart from obvious physical) state BEFORE the run were important factors for me We arrived at nearly 2 in the morning. And Debbie was still in touch checking up on us and giving the directions. When we checked into the lodge, we fell in love with it all: so clean, so fresh ,so beautiful, those little details in interior, the view, the design. Parking is available and easy. The staff would message you on WhatsApp to ask how you are and whether everything is OK. Whenever we needed anything, we'd get reply, it would be sorted in fast and nicest way within literally few minutes. Special thanks for letting us to check out later, as my body felt shredded after the marathon , i felt severely unwell and I just couldn't to check out on time . The kindness and care and love the staff showed made me emotional. THANK YOU. 🙏 This place has now special place in our hearts and memories. ❤️

Very well equipped, clean, comfortable, pleasant accommodation. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Lovely beach within walking distance. Having a warm pool on site was a big bonus.

Excellent base for a family holiday in the Highlands. Homely and comfortable with everything you need. After a small problem with the oven, the owners got it sorted out and the communication from them was spot on. Would highly recommend poppy lodge and will be re-booking for next year's holiday. Boat of Garten is perfectly placed if you like an active holiday with beautiful walks and bike tracks and five minutes from Aviemore.

2nd stay and very impressed. Cleanliness, facilities great and very comfortable bed. Great heating and having dishwasher was a big plus. Lovely situation.

The lodge is very convinient and beautifully designed, with fireplace. Fully equipped kitchen. All the small things that you even don't think about them are there: tea, coffee, different kind of salt, sugar, pepper. All kinds of knives very sharp. Coffee machine with capsules. Helen instructed us all the way how to get to the lodge. Location is very good. The walking trails just 15 minutes ride. Trail around the lake is very beautiful. A lot of blackberries, cowberries and mushrooms.

    We were blessed with really nice sunny weather on our visit. The location was amazing, so close to Landmark and just a few minutes away to the town to get essentials. Child friendly and the board games were a great bonus as we had a quiet evening after a long day at Landmark. 10/10 I would stay at this chalet again!

    Very clean, full cooking facilities for self-catering. Very cosy and warm and easy to operate the heating. More than comfortable for a family of 4. We loved that the chalet was on the edge of the site so that we had an uninterrupted view of the fields and mountains and easy access to explore the rest of the Cairngorms area.

    Lovely quiet area, beautiful walks in the local woods and a lovely little local shop and restaurant. Chalet was cosy, clean and well stocked in the kitchen. Lovely large bathroom and a large wardrobe/storage in the master bedroom

    It was a spacious chalet with a large lounge suit to relax on. Nice neutral decor. We enjoyed our 4 night stay here dispite a few things.

    A truly lovely holiday, close to Aviemore. After a day of mountaineering in the rain it's nice to come back and chill out in a lovely little chalet. Itfeels bigger than expected and was presented beautifully. Aviemore is an outdoors person wonderland, archery, Reindeer, mountains, bike hire and trails, skiing (when in season) and so much more
