This Bed&Breakfast This B&B a joy from the first moment. It is beautifully furnished, full of beautiful details, and Jenny is a welcoming and generous host. The house is warm and attractively decorated… you feel like exhaling with relaxation on arrival. The beds were extremely comfortable: the best of our 5 week holiday so far, the bed linens gorgeous, the pillows perfect. We had dinner at Ring O Bells Pub at Compton Martin, and that dinner, combined with Jenny’s wonderful breakfast were culinary highlights of our European trip. We highly recommend this lovely Bed and Breakfast.

FIR TREE LODGE I had the pleasure of staying overnight at Fir Tree Lodge recently at quite short notice. Rebecca was a perfect hostess - friendly, accommodating and especially helpful with local travel info. The first floor room itself was reasonably spacious and very tastefully decorated and furnished. The single bed (one of two) was warm and comfortable with a bright, clean bathroom, toilet and shower just across the landing. Best of all though was the kitchen/lounge area directly across the landing from the bedroom. Here I found coffee, tea and milk all freely available and well signposted. A cooker and cupboard and fridge space are also all available for those staying longer than just one night! There’s a family sized dining table and chairs and a charming adjoining lounge area that you have to step over into. Here were comfortable chairs and a picture window - perfect for quiet reading. There were also a selection of board games, puzzles and books to choose from too. The property is secluded enough from the main road (Portway) but close enough for good transport links into the city. I can’t recommend it highly enough and already have Fir Tree Lodge bookmarked for future imminent visits. Kevin, Shanklin

Quiet and private location. Spotless clean! Host is very friendly. Loved the outdoor bath tub and the views. If ever in the area, would definitely stay here again.

The rooms are so comfortable, shower is amazing. Nice and quiet. Apart from the odd door banging from other guests. The guys in the Black Sheep were so friendly. Remembered it was my birthday after only saying it once and he gave me a birthday cake on him x x lovely place. Didnt want to leave

The cabin was modern and cosy. Very swish with the Alexa. Great location- pub up the road, Morrisons daily and takeaway. Close to Bristol city. Price was amazing.
