I love that I had the cabin all to myself. Even though it was in the host’s backyard, you get complete privacy. It felt like a home and made my stay a lot more enjoyable. The bed is sooo comfy!!! Absolutely perfect way to end a day of hiking. And the shower is very spacious!! The cabin is equipped with all the snacks and amenities that you could possibly need. Bonus point: I love that they provided robes and slippers — it made my stay feel very homely. Overall, it was such a pleasant stay. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming. I would definitely stay here the next time I come back to Aviemore.

Katie is the most friendly and accommodating host. She cannot do enough for you. The Treehouse Cabin is superb. It is cosy, quirky and perfect for a getaway stay in the outdoors. The Pine Marten bar was, as always, entertaining, welcoming and happy. We will definitely be back soon!

Perfect place. Osprey lodge is situated on a farm, beautiful views, hot tub was such a treat and easily accessible walks in the area. Easy and clear instructions for checking-in and out. Location wise it is perfect as it is within reach of the Whisky Trail and Loch Ness, to name but a few.

The lodge is very convinient and beautifully designed, with fireplace. Fully equipped kitchen. All the small things that you even don't think about them are there: tea, coffee, different kind of salt, sugar, pepper. All kinds of knives very sharp. Coffee machine with capsules. Helen instructed us all the way how to get to the lodge. Location is very good. The walking trails just 15 minutes ride. Trail around the lake is very beautiful. A lot of blackberries, cowberries and mushrooms.

All cabins in Kingussie

Looking for a cabin?

For the active travellers, a chalet is a great mix of the outdoors and the snug inside. Usually fully furnished and self-catered, chalets are typically wooden and in the Alpine region of Europe, but can also be found elsewhere in the world. Characterised by their sloped roofs, chalets can be single units or separate apartments, and are ideal for skiing holidays.
