Absolutely beautiful location and villa. I’ve stayed in a lot of villas in Sri Lanka and this is hands down the best. We had transport problems and the host and owner were so understanding and accommodating. One of the best weekends of our lives, would 10000% recommend to anyone.

Exceptional view of 9 Arch Bridge offered by local family who go out of their way to make sure you are well looked after. Yes it’s a little way out of Ella but this means it’s much quieter than the hectic town centre. Plus the owner has a Tuk Tuk and will drop you off / pick you up whenever necessary for a fair price. Breakfast is served on your balcony including egg hoppers, coconut pancakes, fruit salad and freshly squeezed juice. Tea and coffee facilities are provided in the room. Currently only 1 room available so best to book now!

If you go to Ella, this is the place to stay. Here you have silence from all the tourists and really can enjoy time in nature, watching animals. More than in all other tourist attractions. So this place was our highlight in whole Ella. Also the breakfast was really amazing and the woman helps you with everything. For the hikers, you can start hiking here to Ella rock easily and therefore have the chance to be there a bit more early than others from the town centre.

Best stay ever!! Everything was amazing!! The extremely caring host, the comfortable great room, bed, lighting, amazing view to the train tracks and lush nature. We immediately felt like part of the family. Devaka has been showing us around his beautiful garden. He is generous, warm -hearted- a very great person! He got deep into our hearts. He brings the word "homestay" to another level- never have we felt so at home in such short time!! We got a tea from his own garden every day as well! The food is home cooked and of course also very delicious. It is the best authentic caring beautiful homestay ever in Sri Lanka

We loved Arawe and would have loved to stay longer. It’s a beautiful place with such a unique style that’s honest to the environment. It’s fabulous to support such a sustainable and community focused business. Very kind and warm welcome from all of the staff. Always there to help. The kids loved the animals. We also participated in a morning yoga session which was just me and my 7 year old daughter. The yoga teacher adapted the session wonderfully to suit us both. The breakfast was probably the best we’ve had in Sri Lanka, so much so we asked to come back for breakfast again even though we couldn’t stay a second night.

All the complex is amazing feeling you are in the jingle, rooms are very big, clean comfortable shower is great!! From my balcony I saw Ella's rock and beatifull sunrise. Many uge windows really give you the felling your in the middle of the jungle. 15 min walk to to the center. Stuff super nice and very helpful breakfast is really good. Really liked the beatifull meditation room with the amazing view and cooking lesson was really fun and great. This place felt like home in the minute I came.

This place was amazing! The location is great—tucked up on a hill, so you’ll need a car or tuk-tuk to get around easily. The breakfast was absolutely delicious, and the staff were incredibly attentive and kind. The room has a fridge which is nice. The only small downside was that the shower could use a bit more water pressure. But the real highlight is the breathtaking view—truly unforgettable. Highly recommended!

People are very friendly and the view is amazing! Breakfast is very good aswell. Location is on the way to Ella rock. Very beautiful to wake up there and have breakfast with the best view I have ever seen!
