Everything in our stay was perfect. The location of Kandalama lodge is great if you want to visit the Dambulla Cave Temple, Anuradhapura, Polonnaruwa, Sigirya and Pidurangala. The lodge is cleverly designed, and well maintained. The garden is a quiet oasis, peaceful and beautiful. We stayed in both the deluxe villa with the private pool and the “regular” rooms. We enjoyed both. The staff made our stay even better. I’ve never seen a manager, cook and helpers so attentive in my life. I rarely rate a stay a 10/10 but they deserve it.

This place was an absolute experience! The views were seriously breathtaking and most of all if you are looking to relax, connect with nature and have the best time disconnecting this is the ideal place. The food served was really delicious as well. Would recommend this 100% to anyone travelling solo or with a family.

It was a magical experience to stay at Dambulla tree house.The owners were very welcoming and the food on offer was totally delicious, friendly, helpful staff with a good explanation for every dish they served. If you love to cook authentic foods they arrange it in their farm hut, it's an awesome experience to know how they prepare local foods.. I loved the rustic architecture of the treehouse accommodation and the beautiful green surroundings . The bed was comfortable and I had a good sleep. I saw and heard many beautiful birds and other native wildlife, such as squirrels, jungle fowls, mongoose, land monitors and more fire flies during the night. It was a great place to relax and also a good base to visit the many sites of the cultural triangle, Dambulla, Sigiriya, Pindurangala.. They have well organized jeep safari service to watch wild elephants..

The host of this hotel is amazing! He got me fresh pressed juce and showed me around in the garden, offerd a bunch of different acctivities and even drove me to a supermarket for free. The accomidation is super clean with good working ac and wifi. If you are staying in Sigiriya I would really recomend this place! Also super close to roys and its possible to join ther acctivities aswell.

I had a very good time staying at Machcha. Kamal is a great host. :) The bungalow has two rooms with terrace in a beautiful garden. You can hear and see the birds and lay down in a hammock under the trees. The owner makes breakfast with love (fresh fruits, tea, avocado with toast/Roti, smoothie, egg). The location is perfect for exploring Sigiriya Lion Rock or have a day trip to Polonnaruwa. The nature is very nice. ;) Your host can help you with information about tours and what to explore around. It's also easy to connect with other travellers in the hostels around. The rooms are big, clean and very nice. With a big bed and A/C. Our stay was really great thanks to Isanka and his father who were really helpful. We were in sri lanka for the first time and this was our first destination so we didnt really know how to get around and they took us everywhere with their tuktuks, arranged a good massage and a safari and helped us with finding the bus to trincomalee. Thank you again and hope we will visit Your lovely house again :)!
