We had a great time staying here. What we didn't realize beforehand is that there are two rooms with large beds, so this is great for a family as well as solo travelers or couples. As others have said, having the kitchen was a nice plus. Overall, there was a lot of space and Isuru was a very kind and generous host. We especially liked how clean and newly done the bathroom was. The food provided everyday was great and he was always there to answer any questions and help us. Highly recommend!

The property was very clean, beautiful and exactly what we saw on pictures. The staff was helpful and friendly. The location is great but not if you don't have scooter or other transport, it is not near the central way or beach by feet.

This is one of the best and most original places we have slept in. The location is perfect (it would only help if there were some signs on the main roads so that people can find the family easily), in the forest, surrounded with trees and wildlife, it was beautiful to sleep with the sounds of nature. Also, Neranga and his family are extremely kind, welcoming and hospitable. They prepared for us a real regal feast for breakfast that one cannot see in many hotels (there was a lot, everything was delicious, we ate almost the entire table), they showed us around, their garden full of interesting plants and fruits, vegetables and spices, and they also prepared small gifts for us when we were about to leave. This was truly one of the nices places we’ve stayed at. Not to mention making a childhood dream come true – sleeping in a treehouse. PS The house has everything: WiFi, hot water, AC, fridge. We loved it all. Especially the real trees with branches that are inside the house, too.

Best value for money so far in Sri Lanka. Great location by the river. We saw some tree snakes, peacocks and chipmunks. Nice balcony to chill on with breakfast. Air con was perfect and adjustable. Nice towels.

our absolute favorite stay in sri lanka! we kept extending it because oh we loved it so much. 1. the place is ideally located between dickwella and hiriketiya. close to the main road but far enough to be quiet! (important for us) 2. the room is extremely clean and well-thought out. very beautifully decorated with so much love and attention to detail. we had everything needed and couldn’t ask for more really. having our own kitchen was a huge plus and you can also do your laundry here. 3. the host Dasitha is one of the nicest (if not the nicest) person we’ve ever met. he was so patient and humble and truly cared about our experience…! very welcoming and friendly. great communication too. made our stay so special. helped us a lot in all possible aspects of our travel. feeling very grateful we decided to stay there and meet him. 4. the space: there’s a quiet outdoor area with sunbeds. we loved it! 5. unbeatable value for the price.! we couldn’t wish for a better accommodation! can’t recommend enough and look forward to coming back. thank you so much Dasitha!

From delicious lunches and dinners to delightful surprises and the most mouth-watering fish barbecue - probably the best meal I have had in the two months I have been in Sri Lanka. Everything! The garden, the bungalow with it’s private space outside to chill, the common areas where people got together to drink, eat or just chat… It’s also a 1 minute walk from the beach and literally 30 seconds from awesome coffe shops and restaurants. The hosting family is kind and will help you with anything you need. I had the chance to know more about them and how midigama has evolved in the past 40 years. It was really interesting and they are the sweetest people. Also, 2 great surfing spots just a few minutes walk from the bungalows. I will surely come back! Thanks for everything!
