It was a wonderful experience in this cabin. The place is fully equipped and well maintained. The host Mr Sisira is a wonderful person and helped us many ways during whole stay. Amazing location plus close to Kandy town and Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage. If anyone is interested in hiking, there is a view point Saradiel Rock close by. We recommend this place to anyone who wants to feel free with nature. We would be very happy to come back someday!

The communication was excellent even before we arrived. Inthizar our host was so helpful with quick responses and perfect English. Even during extreme weather conditions we were very well looked after with personalised meals cooked for us. Travel organised and made to feel very safe.

Well I don’t know where to start. I could write a book about this place. We were in love from the minute we checked in, the family made us feel so welcome. Our room was huge lovely quirky little pond in the room with a few fish. The bathroom was really really stunning made out of all recycled rocks and the room was immaculately clean. Little pool to cool down at the end of the day, amazing breakfast. We had a cooking class which was offered by Gayashan and we also had a barbecue with the family which included music. This family quickly became a part of our family. They couldn’t do enough for us. I miss the children they are so lovely, also not forgetting Bruno, kitty and their cockerel. We booked Gayashan for the rest of our tour of Sri Lanka (15 days) and what an amazing guy he is. He’s friendly, he’s funny, he has an amazing sense of humour, he goes above and beyond to make your stay Just perfect. I cannot wait to come back. This is the first time to Sri Lanka and it will certainly not be the last. ❤️❤️❤️ I waited until I was back in the UK to do my review and let’s just say I miss you so much my brother from another mother. The bond between Gayashan and my husband will last a lifetime.

Omg what an absolute gem, our favourite accommodation of the whole trip, we had a balcony view of the street so we could see the elephants walking by to go to the river, the room was amazing, big comfy bed, good air con, massive bathroom and it was so spacious. Didn't try the food but you can dine on a balcony overlooking the street also. Staff are really nice as well, there were some young lads working there this week they helped us with our bags and directions to our next destination, can't remember there names but they are a credit to the business

Fabulous location in the hills with views overlooking Kandy and infinity pool. Welcoming, friendly and attentive staff, beautiful decor throughout the hotel. The bed was very comfortable and the food was fantastic. Would definitely recommend.

This was truly a hidden gem, we loved everything about our stay at Kandy River Lodge. The apartment was spotless with essentials for cooking if required. The view of the river from the balcony was beautiful. The host had water bottles tea and coffee available to us and offered us a complimentary transport from the train station. The host was available to help with any requests and very responsive. If you are staying in Kandy I would definitely recommend staying at Kandy River Lodge. If we get the opportunity to come back to Kandy we would definitely book again

The service was exceptional from the moment I arrived till left Queens Lodge. This ensured a hassle-free experience for me during my first trip to Sri Lanka. The staff were friendly, courteous, and were supportive when I required assistance to handle my luggage. Taste of delicious Sri Lankan cuisine was truly a memorable experience. The room was clean, spacious, and the bed was huge and super comfy! The bathroom was well stocked and clean.

The owner was super nice, we got tea right after we came, he was very helpful. Place has nice view, we liked the balcony so we could eat breakfast outside. Room was clean, mosquito nets above the bed were good. Bed was little short for tall people but comfortable. Great place for this price.

Great views of the mountains. Spacious and quiet away from the hustle and bustle and busy bustle of downtown with the festival on. Arranged tuk tuk driver for tour and great breakfast. I really like it.

This guesthouse is an incredible deal at just $9 per night. Located along the Mahaweli River, you can’t see the river from the room, but the soothing sound of the flowing water was a lovely touch. The War Cemetery right in front is bright and well-maintained, with no eerie vibes at all. The room came equipped with an electric kettle, along with tea, coffee, and drinking water, which was very convenient. The bedsheets, pillows, and towels were all spotlessly clean, making the stay very comfortable. For a guesthouse of its size, there were plenty of staff members who were attentive and ensured everything was well taken care of. The rooms felt fresh and modern, as the property was recently built.
