We had an amazing stay! The location, the owners and the room itself were great. We had the Sri Lankan breakfast in the morning and loved it. Also the owners were really helpful. They made sure that not only the place where you stayed was great, but also that you got to visit every place where you wanted to go.

This spot is an absolute secret gem! Perched on top of a hill, watching the town wake up each morning was beautiful. The cabin is designed brilliantly, keeps so cosy and warm, the beds were so comfy and being snuggled up was perfect in the cool weather. Literally feel like you could be anywhere in the world. Don’t forget to hot shower, so good. The hosts went above and beyond to ensure we felt welcome. Offering best local spots to eat and directions for each of our activities, and an endless supply of tea and coffee. The breakfast was huge and with an option for either English or traditional Sri Lankan (go the Sri Lankan!).

The property is such a little gem! A little (not so little) wood cabin in the nature. There’s a stream of water just behind and it’s very relaxing. The cabin is very comfortable, offers two double rooms downstairs and one upstairs. There a kitchenette, a fridge and even a hair dryer! All the amenities really. The owner is a fantastic lady! She is very nice and helpful and her garden is magnificent

Blues Chalet is an absolute gem! The location is perfect — everything is within walking distance. We were just 5 minutes from the old post office, fruit market, bus stand, and Victoria Park, and only 15 minutes from Keells supermarket, the horse race course, and Pizza Hut. Plus, it’s just 25 minutes to Gregory Lake and Galway’s Land National Park! (Our family loves walking so we mostly walked all these places and it was lovely!) The Blues Chalet itself is BEAUTIFUL— newly built with a modern, studio apartment vibe and a dreamy treehouse-like feel. We stayed in Room 206, a spacious family room with a sitting area, dining area, and a cozy loft with two huge beds. The views from the balcony are breathtaking, and the shower with hot water was just perfect given the cold weather. The Wi-Fi was fast and reliable on every floor too! What truly made our stay special was the host. He was incredibly kind and went above and beyond to help with everything we needed. My parents and grandpa are huge plant enthusiasts, and luckily, the host had a variety of trees at his place. He generously gifted us some fruits from his trees during our stay, and even gave my parents and grandpa a ride to and back from town so they could pick up some seeds for planting back in Maldives. His thoughtfulness and genuine warmth made us feel so welcome and truly at home. We love love love the host. This place is beyond PERFECT — I’d give it more than 10 stars if I could. Highly highly recommend!
