Jean-Michel, Florida and the whole team are very helpful and kind. For example, we asked Jean-Michel in an email that we would like to stop at a "supermarket" to buy few things during our transfer from the airport to Doany Beach. He said okay. And soon he sent an email that he had noticed we would arrive on Sunday afternoon when shops are closed and offered that he buys what we need if we send a list, Wow. Doany Beach is beautiful with its white sand beach (no trash only shells) , crystal clear ocean in front of you, no dangerous currents, beautiful corals and fish for snorkelling (it is easier to find them in low tide). And there are no other tourists, maybe another family as guests. We could see sunrise even from our bed, we only had to open our front door facing to the ocean at 6 am. Brown (female) and black (male) lemurs are coming each evening or sometimes in the afternoon. We got bananas from the staff to make lemurs eat from our hands and let us stroke them (except their tails). As there are no shops or markets, you eat what you get. But do not worry, meals are perfectly delicious and sufficient and as a bonus, you eat in the garden with ocean view. Weather (sunny, 29-30 C, no rain during the day) and the ocean temperature were great. Doany Beach has filtered drinking water. We had no problems with WiFi. There is hot water in the bathroom. You may ask for how many night you should book. It can easily be one week. Lokobe Reserve is in walking distance, Jean-Michel came with us to show the way. It is worth checking Doany Beach's own website, where you see many boat tours offered (e.g. Lemurialand+Mont Passot+Andilana beach, Tanikely, Sakatia, Komba, Iranja, etc.). There are also many other program possibilities, like fishing, water skiing, face painting. You also see the prices on the website. Boat trip price is usually for the boat and not per person. For our family of five, these prices were unbeatable. Watch our Youtube videos.

Manga Soa Lodge wasn't just a place to stay; it was an immersive experience that placed us right in the heart of Madagascar's awe-inspiring nature and wildlife. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that this was going to be the most magical vacation we had ever had—and it truly was. Situated right on the ocean's edge, most bungalows offered breathtaking views that made us feel as if we were a part of the seascape. The natural infinity pool wasn't just a pool; it was a frame for the living artwork that is the ocean and sky. With only around 10 bungalows, the lodge provided an intimate, familial atmosphere. The staff wasn't just courteous; they embodied a level of hospitality that made us feel as if we had been welcomed into a home. But what set this place apart was its harmonious coexistence with nature. Opening the wooden shutter in the morning was like opening a portal to an enchanting world—where the ocean smiled back at us, diverse animal calls serenaded us, and even a friendly gecko might greet you from the ceiling. It was a level of interconnectedness with nature that is seldom found in the western world. Now that we've returned from this slice of paradise, the memories continue to mesmerize us. We owe a huge thank you to Evra, the service team, and especially Luc for making our stay on Nosy-Be a remarkable one. We are still ecstatic about the many beautiful moments we experienced and we will unquestionably return.

Amazing! If you are looking to get away from it all in a spa-like setting, this is paradise. A beautiful setting - we stayed in a tree house - amazing rustic with showers and plumbing and everything - super private and great for romantic get away. Beautiful bay to swim and kayak in. Private island off shore you can go to for snorkeling (we actually kayaked there - about 4 or 5km kayak - don't recommend kayaking unless superior swimmer and paddler - take 5 minute boat ride instead) several turtles, nice coral. Food and staff of resort were insanely great. Had the best massage I've ever had overlooking the ocean. 45 min from airport - road a little rough at the end or would be much quicker but taxi driver turned it into adventure, stopping for fruit, chameleons, and ylang ylang. Yvonne and Loris took complete care of us - thank you. Had taxi waiting for us at airport, Loris was like our own private butler - he even organized excursions for us after our stay. Overall, beautiful place to get away from the crazy world and relax in paradise. Forgot to mention the friendly, smiling faces of beautiful children that wave and greet you as you walk down the beach - wonderful culture.

All cabins in Ambatoloaka

Looking for a cabin?

For the active travellers, a chalet is a great mix of the outdoors and the snug inside. Usually fully furnished and self-catered, chalets are typically wooden and in the Alpine region of Europe, but can also be found elsewhere in the world. Characterised by their sloped roofs, chalets can be single units or separate apartments, and are ideal for skiing holidays.
