Fantastic rooms with beautiful view. Food (set menu) was very nice too. Enjoyed the kayaking and snorkelling. Good communication with host via WhatsApp before and during stay.

We spent a wonderful week at this beautiful new small hotel, nestled like a botanical garden between the ocean and the forest. It’s lovingly built and run by a fantastic family, and from the very first moment you feel completely at home in this vibrant natural paradise. On Nosy Komba there are no cars or tuc-tuc, just peace and quiet. The bungalows are spotlessly clean, with a modern design that blends local materials and thoughtful details. The food is fresh, local, and absolutely delicious, and the service couldn’t be better. A heartfelt thank you to Spela, her husband Borut, and their daughter for their warmth, availability, and wonderful recommendations. Their dedication and passion for bringing their dream to life shines through in every detail.

Jean-Michel, Florida and the whole team are very helpful and kind. For example, we asked Jean-Michel in an email that we would like to stop at a "supermarket" to buy few things during our transfer from the airport to Doany Beach. He said okay. And soon he sent an email that he had noticed we would arrive on Sunday afternoon when shops are closed and offered that he buys what we need if we send a list, Wow. Doany Beach is beautiful with its white sand beach (no trash only shells) , crystal clear ocean in front of you, no dangerous currents, beautiful corals and fish for snorkelling (it is easier to find them in low tide). And there are no other tourists, maybe another family as guests. We could see sunrise even from our bed, we only had to open our front door facing to the ocean at 6 am. Brown (female) and black (male) lemurs are coming each evening or sometimes in the afternoon. We got bananas from the staff to make lemurs eat from our hands and let us stroke them (except their tails). As there are no shops or markets, you eat what you get. But do not worry, meals are perfectly delicious and sufficient and as a bonus, you eat in the garden with ocean view. Weather (sunny, 29-30 C, no rain during the day) and the ocean temperature were great. Doany Beach has filtered drinking water. We had no problems with WiFi. There is hot water in the bathroom. You may ask for how many night you should book. It can easily be one week. Lokobe Reserve is in walking distance, Jean-Michel came with us to show the way. It is worth checking Doany Beach's own website, where you see many boat tours offered (e.g. Lemurialand+Mont Passot+Andilana beach, Tanikely, Sakatia, Komba, Iranja, etc.). There are also many other program possibilities, like fishing, water skiing, face painting. You also see the prices on the website. Boat trip price is usually for the boat and not per person. Amazing experience. Excellent staff, Incredible location.....and, of course...the lemurs...!! Antoine is a brilliant host, he couldn't have been more helpful. Makako Lodge is highly recommended.

First of all, the location is absolutely stunning!! It feels like a secluded paradise - super private. I was greeted on arrival with refreshments, a smile from everyone and the upmost kindness. The staff couldn’t have been any better. Jerome, especially, looked after me and made sure all of my requests were seen to.

Lovely place, lovely staff, has everything you need. A little far from everything but a great getaway. we had scooters to move around so it was perfect. Owner was very helpful too. Would recommend.

That's because we can't give an 11/10. To begin with , the hosts are wonderful people. They treated us like family. The place was everything we were looking for: the accommodation is very nice and clean, staff likewise great, the nature surrounding the island is unbelievably beautiful. The calm and the atmosphere make this place heaven on earth. Food provided was excellent - mind, we are Italians and both foodie - and, finally, the tour around the island was gorgeous. Our 3 nights of pure relaxation have gone by quite quick - we were so gutted when we had to leave and fly back home. Thanks very much to Komba On The Rocks. We will make sure we pay another visit in the future

We had such a lovely stay at Tamarin Lodge. The location of the bungalows is fantastic, being walking distance to some local restaurants and the local market. The staff are super friendly and helpful. Special mention must be made of how beautiful and lush the garden area is and if you’re lucky you’ll spot some lemurs in the trees above.
