The concept of the lush garden, sandy pathways, airy lobby and cozy bungalows is amazing. Very welcoming and calm atmosphere. Quiet place in nature with own sandy beach right in front. Good food is served, also excellent breakfast buffet. The owners are warmhearted and the best hosts you could wish for for a relaxing vacation!

Jean-Michel, Florida and the whole team are very helpful and kind. For example, we asked Jean-Michel in an email that we would like to stop at a "supermarket" to buy few things during our transfer from the airport to Doany Beach. He said okay. And soon he sent an email that he had noticed we would arrive on Sunday afternoon when shops are closed and offered that he buys what we need if we send a list, Wow. Doany Beach is beautiful with its white sand beach (no trash only shells) , crystal clear ocean in front of you, no dangerous currents, beautiful corals and fish for snorkelling (it is easier to find them in low tide). And there are no other tourists, maybe another family as guests. We could see sunrise even from our bed, we only had to open our front door facing to the ocean at 6 am. Brown (female) and black (male) lemurs are coming each evening or sometimes in the afternoon. We got bananas from the staff to make lemurs eat from our hands and let us stroke them (except their tails). As there are no shops or markets, you eat what you get. But do not worry, meals are perfectly delicious and sufficient and as a bonus, you eat in the garden with ocean view. Weather (sunny, 29-30 C, no rain during the day) and the ocean temperature were great. Doany Beach has filtered drinking water. We had no problems with WiFi. There is hot water in the bathroom. You may ask for how many night you should book. It can easily be one week. Lokobe Reserve is in walking distance, Jean-Michel came with us to show the way. It is worth checking Doany Beach's own website, where you see many boat tours offered (e.g. Lemurialand+Mont Passot+Andilana beach, Tanikely, Sakatia, Komba, Iranja, etc.). There are also many other program possibilities, like fishing, water skiing, face painting. You also see the prices on the website. Boat trip price is usually for the boat and not per person. Beautiful property, beautiful gardens, the pool sits on such a beautiful spot to relax and enjoy the ocean view. The room had an amazing view, loved the sitting area and bathroom set-up. Enjoyed sitting in bed with the shutters open to enjoy the amazing view. The food was excellent, very good chef. Very relaxing and beautiful lodge. Very nice staff, all of them.

The Villa, pool and the personnel were great ! If you are looking to relax in a private environment, this is the perfect place.

An Unforgettable Week at Komba on the Rocks We recently spent an absolutely amazing week at *Komba on the Rocks*, and from the moment we arrived, it was clear this would be a truly special experience. The journey itself was seamless – from the airport pickup in Nosy Be to the scenic boat transfer across the water to the lodge, everything was thoughtfully arranged. On arrival, we were greeted by the spectacular setting: an intimate, tucked-away location right on the water’s edge, far from the bustle of the more touristy spots. The lodge feels wonderfully private – the perfect place to unwind and reconnect with nature. Every day brought something new to savour, not least the incredible meals. We were spoiled with fresh, local seafood – including the most delicious fish prepared in a variety of ways – along with vibrant, flavourful sides and homemade treats. Each meal felt like a celebration. The true heart of the experience, though, were our hosts, Isak and Sunette. They were warm, attentive, and full of local knowledge, striking the perfect balance between giving us space and making us feel completely looked after. Their passion for the island and their care for guests shine through in every detail. We left with full hearts, full stomachs, and unforgettable memories of a magical corner of Madagascar. Highly recommended for anyone looking to experience the island’s beauty in a relaxed, authentic, and truly special setting.

We had such a lovely stay at Tamarin Lodge. The location of the bungalows is fantastic, being walking distance to some local restaurants and the local market. The staff are super friendly and helpful. Special mention must be made of how beautiful and lush the garden area is and if you’re lucky you’ll spot some lemurs in the trees above.
