Fantastic stay just 20min from Nelson city centre, with an unforgettable view of the bay. Our room was directly on the huge wooden patio. Very comfortable bed, clean room with all the amenities. Great host with lots of advice. I highly recommend it.

I was told that staying in a motel was an important part of the New Zealand travel experience and I'm so happy that I chose to stay in what definitely deserves to be rated as the best motel in NZ. Everything about the place was just perfect, from the incredibly friendly reception and helpful tips and recommendations to the beautiful, spotless room with every thing you could ever want or need. I actually was quite taken back by how well equipped the kitchen was with everything that one could ever want. Thank you for all of your kindness and a really lovely comfortable stay. We were very pleased with both our rooms and the manager at Harbourside. Our original room was unavailable the first night, due to a maintenance issue, so we were upgraded to a suite. It was wonderful and had a nice balcony overlooking the marina. While we were out the next day, the manager moved us into our new room, which was also lovely with an excellent balcony view. He helped me with the laundry and was readily available to answer our questions.
