The Lodge is in a great location and we had a room with a beautiful view over the lake. We also enjoyed time in the property's private hot pool. The staff / owners were all very friendly and welcoming and we'll definitely be staying there again.

Flying trout boutique lodge is one of the most beautiful places I have stayed in the world . We had a lovely suite upstairs with a panoramic view of lake Taupo . Breakfast is wonderful and Karen will insure you are pleased with everything served . Rob is helpful with area info and a few nights he drive us in to town for dinner . We would definitely stay at this charming lodge again - treat yourself if you are in lake Taupo

Good location near to the centre and the lake. We were staying over Christmas and were kindly given a bottle of wine and a box of chocolates. Very clean and all in all lovely property.

Room was spacious, clean and just on the front of lake. The lady at the reception was very welcoming, she provided us with free milk packs. I highly recommend this place.

Excellent hotel in a great location right opposite the lake. Free onsite parking. We stayed for two nights and the room was fantastic. A great size, comfortable bed, good shower, large TV and a kitchenette. The host Anthony was very friendly and welcoming. He gave us really good information about what we should do and see during our stay in Taupo. He even offered and gave us a lift to pick up our rental car.
