Very old style, large, comfortable home with a small private swimming pool and a constantly hot hot tub outside. We enjoyed our stay in this period residence. Some bedrooms are ensuite and others are not. Ensuite in the blue room is very compact. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. Good facilities in the kitchen. This house has a "family run" type atmosphere.

Renovated in October 2016, Bridgehouse Lodge overlooks the Mahurangi River, an 8-minute drive from Matakana Coast Wine Country.

Spacious room, great hot shower, coffee and tea facilities. Beautiful location near the river and the town centre. But most important: staff was so very friendly: the host even offered to bring me to the busstation with my backpack if it was raining. Had a wonderful time here.

We had a lovely stay at the Apple Cider Lodge watching the tides moving in and out, eating farmfresh eggs for breakfast, sipping cider as a sundowner and sleeping in heavenly beds. The Lodge provided everything we needed and even more (our 2.5 yo was so happy about the toys). The surrounding offers many great spots to explore as beaches, regional parks, restaurants, shops, weekend markets and many more.

Lovely stay with two small kids at Kotare house. The hosts Alysn and Brian are super welcoming and we felt at home. The kids loved the garden and we enjoyed the spectacular views. Swimming in Anchor Bay nearby is just perfect.

Absolutely charming 1 bedroom studio. Exception attention to detail, lots of very thoughtful kitchen items (including knives that are actually sharp!), high quality toiletries and eco products. All in an idyllic setting, especially for bird lovers - fantails, kingfishers, a wood pigeon, brown cuckoo-dove, and rosellas all visit frequently, not to mention the ducks and chickens. Very caring, considerate host and we very much appreciated the fresh eggs, lemons, onions, coffee capsules and Puhoi milk. Our two cats and two small birds have stayed with us and are enjoying their stay just as much as we are 🙂
