The location of Moinho do Zorrão is really wonderful: directly at the still young river Zêzere, quiet and remote, we could hear the little river burble along at night. Also the little flat (we had the 2-person "chalet superior") left no wishes open. For us it had all the comfort needed, including some nice special "treats" that not all places have like a toaster, the book "Uma Aventura - Na Serra da Estrela" (a Portuguese classic for teenagers) and an instant camera. This little old mill is located outside the main part of Manteigas, but it is possible to walk to the centre to have dinner. We booked on very short notice, which put some pressure on the landlord. But he was friendly and made sure we have no problems getting in.

it was just perfekt to Slow down and to relax with the Sonderfall sorrounding and a great view. You feel save and welcome at the place and every question about travelling you have, will be answered. The breakfast is deliciose and will come fresh made (with love❤️) in a basket every morning straight to your room. how nice!!!!!! The beds are very comfy and you can sleep like an Angel. No Noise apart from the lovely birds in the morning. Thank you very much for this experience.

gracious and generous host (she offered us fresh goat chesse made that day)! The rustic and quaint character of the stone house. The fireplace added charm and warmth to the spring evening. And the location for hiking and exploring the park was superb! We were grateful that this place also accommodated our beloved dog Sky. The internet worked beautifully.
