When my husband saw this property on Booking.com, his heart was immediately set on it. That doesn't happen a lot with him. We both decided that this is THE place to celebrate our special anniversary and our many years together. The owner, Loïc, was very kind and accommodated our requests. The property is from the 1920s decorated with unique items but equipped with modern amenities. It was intended to be a refuge from daily life; no TV but with a breathtaking view of the Alps. The property is quite close to the town centre (supermarkets, boulangeries, restaurants etc.) but far enough so you can enjoy the peace and quiet of natural surroundings. There are hiking trails all around. Sion is just down the valley, Montreaux and Zermatt are just 1 1/ hours away by car.

Kitchen had all the equipment needed with a fridge/freezer, induction hub/oven, microwave. The bathroom had very good water pressure and unlimited hot water. Property has a television, satellite receiver and bluetooth sound system with quality speakers. Bathroom fixtures were of good quality, plenty of charging points. The communication with the host was very good as well. We had use of a washing machine as well. Countless hiking opportunities everywhere you look and close to Zermatt, Grindelwald and Kandersteg, all within an hour drive from the property.

The location is perfect, on the high end of Verbier with the stunning views, in a quiet and beautiful neighborhood. Skiing access in and out was easy. The chalet has been refurbished with modern amenities and conveniences, but retains its rustic quality - it's the real Swiss chalet deal. The kitchen was fully kitted out and all other essentials were attended to with care and a personal touch. Unlike some of the chalets managed by large property management companies (that feel like they have been stripped to keep costs down) this chalet felt like you were arriving at home, in a condition you would expect if you owned it yourself. All of this is down to Gary, the owner and host. Gary is by far one of the best chalet owners I have the pleasure of getting to know. At all times he was gracious and helpful, and was always there if anything should go wrong (nothing did). I have skied in Verbier for over 30 years, and have been renting chalets annually here for over 20 years. I can honestly say this was the best chalet I have rented to date in Verbier, and I will stay here again.

This house is very special, worth a visit, and a place to relax and enjoy life. There is restaurants, a gondol, a café, and hiking-paths, so no need to get bored. We also took a daytrip to Zermatt from the house. When coming from the motorway, we were thinking: Is it really possible to drive to these houses jo there? There is a gondol, but the road is good, and takes 15 minutes. Groceries is near the highway-entry. Friendly and helpful host.
