The property is located in a beautiful area surrounded by nature, where you can truly feel the jungle atmosphere. We had constant contact with the staff both before our arrival and during our stay. I wholeheartedly recommend this place

Exceptional Hospitality!​​ Our stay at Hua Ting Guesthouse was an unforgettable part of our Zhangjiajiaje experience. The main reason for our visit was to see the "Avatar Mountains," and this guesthouse proved to be the perfect choice. The location is incredibly convenient, just a short walk from the South Gate of the National Forest Park. This allowed us to get an early start to beat the crowds to the Yuanjiajie Scenic Area (where the "Hallelujah Mountain" pillar is). After a long day of hiking and being amazed by the floating peaks that inspired the world of Pandora, it was such a relief to know a comfortable and welcoming place was so close by. The highest praise, however, goes to the owner, Mrs. Wang. Her service was absolutely outstanding! She is not only incredibly warm and friendly but also highly professional. Upon our arrival, she sat down with us with a detailed map and gave us a brilliant itinerary to optimize our time. She explained exactly which buses to take, the best order to see the sights, and even the perfect timing to catch the sunset. Her advice saved us so much time and confusion. She made us feel like family, always asking about our day and offering us tea. Her hospitality truly made our trip seamless and much more enjoyable. The guesthouse itself is charming, very clean, and has a lovely, peaceful courtyard—a great place to relax in the evening. The rooms are cozy and well-maintained. If you are visiting Zhangjiajie for the Avatar mountains, look no further. You not only get great value and location but also the invaluable, kind guidance from Mrs. Wang. We cannot recommend Hua Ting Guesthouse highly enough! Thank you for making our trip so special!

I chose the place partly because it was close to the Zhangjiajie airport but mainly because of its view. We arrived late (almost midnight), the host picked us up from the airport (for free), we didn’t see much outside the house in the darkness, but were taken by the artistic decoration of the rooms. Next day, we were lucky to wake to a clear morning and greeted by a stunning view of the Tianmen Mountains (天门山) and Seven Stars Mountains （七星山）. The Tianme Cave (天门洞) is clearly visible from the house. The view is even better than I expected from the Booking.com’s reviews. Besides its hilltop location with excellent views all around and including a golf course right next door, the house also has a manicured garden including a lotus pond, clearly the owner has put in a lot of effort landscaping and maintaining the property. I only wished that we had more time to stay here and just enjoy its view and surroundings.

I could write a novel about how much we loved our time with Long Jing at Your Quiet Place. This felt like staying at a friend’s home. We arrived late to dinner prepared for us, and Long Jing willing to plan out our itinerary for the next day as we visited Zhangjiajie. If you’re hesitant to stay near the West Gate (Yangjiajie), don’t be! Long Jing is a master at planning an itinerary that will have you going against the crowds and seeing all the important sites without standing in line. She arranged our tickets, all transportation, all meals…EVERYTHING for us and was super attentive. Owning a homestay / hotel isn’t her first career but if there is such a thing as having a calling, this is hers. In terms of the beds and amenities, everything was super comfortable, clean, and well thought out. The food, cooked by her dad, was INCREDIBLE, and most of it came from her own garden. When I got a migraine, she suggested to me some TCM fixes and just overall was super sweet. It seems like there might be projects nearby to build bigger hotels and develop the Yangjiajie area more. If you have the opportunity, I urge you to choose Your Quiet Place over bigger establishments. I am so, SO confident you won’t regret it.
