There are also 11 km of walking trails throughout the property, or guests can just relax in the hot tub or have a massage in the spa. I wanted accommodation were we could see plenty of wildlife and be surrounded by nature. Arenal Observatory Lodge exceeded out expectations. We saw beautiful birds everywhere along with other wildlife. We considered the drive back to La Fortuna to be relatively easy, so did not mind that it was a little bit out of the way. Excellent breakfast and very accommodating and friendly staff. Highly recommend that horse trek here as well.

There is a private entrance at the chalet for the convenience of those who stay. The chalet features rooms with air conditioning, free private parking and free WiFi. Yarumo Lodge is truly a beautiful and peaceful place and we feel lucky to have stayed in this gem. The place was very well kept and spacious. Listening to the wildlife literally in the backyard was amazing. Our hosts were super responsive to our questions and generous. Highly recommended!

Everything was very clean, and the reception and restaurant staff friendly and helpful. We frequently walked to the centre which took about 20 minutes.

Beautiful garden, full of animals and with a nice viewpoint. Guided night walk is certainly something you should do. A bit remote (from the tourist hotspots), but definitely worth the detour!
