Our stay was exceptional. The bungalows and rooms were cleaned daily and the breakfast was phenomenal. The staff was incredibly kind and welcoming. This Italian owned hotel truly reflects its high standards in both the quality of its food and the honesty and warmth of its staff. For the first time in Costa Rica, we felt treated as valued guests rather than just sources of revenue.

This lodge was classy, had beautiful bungalows and the lovely lounge area in the middle was very well laid out…..there was ample seating, a refreshing pool and a good breakfast selection as well as drinks & tapas from 3-7pm. and all in a jungle setting. Bryan is a super host too!!!!

Exceptional location and very well equipped house (full kitchen, purified water, mosquito nets, hammocks, swining chairs,,...). Owners and staff are very polite and helpful, especially the laundry service was fantastic. We really enjoyed the daily routine of the animals around us as well as plenty of interesting and relaxing activities to do nearby.

Playa Negra Guesthouse is located in Cahuita, right in front of the beach. All units feature a seating area. Some units have a terrace and/or balcony with pool or garden views. Wonderful property and owners. A garden oasis. Steps from the beach and a quiet road. 10 min walk to a number of restaurants and good grocery store. We had a cabin and it was wonderful and fully equipped. Great pool, quiet garden, lots of animals. Marise very responsive and offered helpful advice. We’re returning!

Situated 5 km awayfrom Cahuita in the Limon Region and 18 km from Puerto Viejo, Passion Fruit Lodge boasts an outdoor pool and views of the tropical garden. Cocles is 20 km from the property. The place is very calm with a beautiful garden. It is well maintained, also you can see multiple species of birds, heard howler monkeys around. The pool area is also great when it’s not raining 😀 It has a parking space. Overall, a perfect place, I would rebook.

Offering a year-round outdoor pool and tropical garden, La Rana De Cahuita is set 5 km away from the centre of Cahuita. Puerto Viejo is 18 km from the property. The nature and ambiance of the place and friendliness of staff. It is a great spot to relax and enjoy the Caribbean side of Costa Rica.

Finca Chica offers accommodation in Puerto Viejo. Cahuita is 16 km from the property. Free WiFi is featured and free private parking is available on site. This was our favorite place we stayed during our two week trip to Costa Rica. It was great being in the jungle, and having a cozy and private place to relax outside in the evenings. The owner is friendly and speaks decent English. He'll check up on you but also give you your privacy.The villa was clean with a nice fridge and a kitchen stocked with just about anything you would need to cook yourself. The outer porch had a couple of chairs and a hammock to relax in while you listened to nature and caught a fresh breeze. There is a nice grocery store just down the street and a pastry shop closeby for breakfast. The Cocles beach is a short walk away and is the best beach in the area, with several good restaurants and bars to choose from. Puerto Viejo is 3 km away; you can rent a bike nearby or walk it if you want. The first morning the gardner gave us a tour of the grounds and we saw several sloths, a toucan, an iguana, and many other animals. An agouti lived in the trees next to our villa. Decent bathroom and shower, comfortable bed with mosquito net, good wifi. It was nice to be outside the energy of Puerto Viejo but be close to its amenities, and away from the road noise of the main street.
