Unfortunately, things changed, and we arrived later than expected yet the property was again very accommodating to my arrival and checking in to the property was easy! A pro tip, there is a hike of 20-30 minutes up the mountain nearby. This is the best view of Loch Lomond.

The Lodge was also a pleasant surprise, equipped with everything we needed. Helen & Stuart were great hosts! Very much appreciated being able to use the laundry & our clothes dried overnight. We enjoyed everything about the house. Completely quiet location, spotlessly clean, very nicely furnished, comfortable beds. Anti-midge nets in bedroom windows! The bathtub with Scottish salts and bubblebath available for guests makes it practically a wellness stay for weary hikers. A beautiful welcome pack from hosts. Hiking and biking guides available on the bookshelves. Very prompt and easy communication with hosts. For a family of 4 ideal. There is no kitchenette with a stove/sink but that is duly notified beforehand and you find all the necessary dishes and utensils and a microwave to still have a simple dinner at home - plus the hosts take care of the dishes! For those dining out, easy walk to the lovely village with several good restaurants.
