The place was next to the beach and also near Rethymno city. You can use a car or bus to arrive in the center or even walk. The flat was in a quite part of the city and confortable.

This little house is really fantastic, it has all the comforts and we had a great time. Tony is a helpful and kind owner. The house is located in a convenient place in the city and close to services despite being in a quiet street. We had a car and there is a convenient parking space inside the gate. We found cleanliness and care, a warm greeting to Tony 🤗

From the moment we arrived at Mourtzanakis Eco-Residence, we felt we had found a truly special place. The villas and cottages are spotless, cozy, and equipped with everything you need to feel at home. The pools and common areas are a wonderful bonus for relaxing after a day at the beach or exploring the island. What makes this place unique, though, is the hospitality. Marcos and his family welcomed us with such warmth and genuine kindness. They were always available with great recommendations, stories, and a sincere smile. You can truly feel the love and care they put into this place. It’s the ideal spot both for exploring Crete (close to beaches and Heraklion) and for recharging in the middle of nature.

Probably the first place where we stayed where the reality exceeds the property photos. This is a gem! Beautiful, tastefully restored little house in a quiet remote village which is really close to Heraklion by car, just in 10 minutes you suddenly find yourself in a different world than the touristy seashore, a piece of traditional, rural Crete. But be aware, you do need a car - which is cheap to rent in Crete anyway. The owners left some tasty local products for us (honey, butter, marmalade, some bakery product, olive oil, even raki!) so we didn't have to care about the first breakfast. There is a place to park just in front of the house which is very convenient. (Don't be shy on the narrow streets that leads there, the car will fit).
