We had a wonderful stay at Cara’s Cabin with our two daughters, ages 6 and 7. The location was peaceful and magical-nestled in the trees and surrounded by forest trails. We enjoyed multiple hikes right from the property, and the girls spent hours playing in the yard in front of the cabin, completely immersed in nature. The cabin itself was cozy and well-appointed. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the natural cross-breeze kept the temperature perfect during our stay. It truly felt like a quiet little oasis just outside the city. Our hosts went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Their warmth and hospitality added something special to our trip, and we’re so grateful we had the chance to get to know them. We highly recommend Cara’s Cabin for anyone visiting the Wexford area, especially families looking for a calm, nature-filled retreat.

Caroline was warm and very welcoming upon arrival. She gave us a tour of the house pointing out all of our amenities as well as suggesting possible places to eat during our short break. She checked in by text the next day to see were we happy with our accommodation. Our late check out was greatly appreciated, as was the works of art throughout the house. Beds were super comfy. We loved the garden with all of it's nooks and crannies. We would love to come back. Thank you Caroline.

We loved the historic charm of this comfortable little cottage in the grounds of a larger residence. Our hosts were friendly and generous - we very much appreciated the fresh eggs, yogurt and jam and the fully equipped kitchen. Quiet and peaceful, just 15 minutes from Wexford and (in the other direction) Kilmore Quay and the ferry to Greater Saltee Island. We’d love to stay again!
