The house is absolutely lovely, everything you need just like being at home. Great disabled facilities too. Lovely location only 15 minutes from Nurney and not much further to Kildare (great shopping village similar to Bicester outlet and Tesco for essentials!) and Newbridge. The house is spacious and a good sized drive and outdoor area. Lovely seeing the cows out of the window each day. Check out was easy. Thank you so much for having us, we had a fabulous time made even better by great accommodation. We will be back!

Great selection of books, roaring fire and delighted there was no TV. Breda that house keeper is absolutely amazing! Had lots of information about the property and surrounding areas!

Situated in the countryside of County Kildare The Lodges at Kilkea Castle is set in 180 acres of its own woodland and gardens. A 12th-century castle, Kilkea Castle is one of the oldest inhabited castles in Ireland with a history dating back to 1180. Designated parking is available. Our lodge was very big and so calm with a view to the woods, which was very calming during our stay. The bed was very comfy, we also received a baby cot, the kitchen had more to offer than expected. The castle and its ambiance are charming, lots of green and very calm in general. The personal was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was included in the price and it left nothing to be desired. The breakfast room is in the castle itself, which let us feel the castle, too, although we stayed in the lodge. The lodge was clean. The blanket was very useful in the cold morning. The lodges are quite near to the castle (it looks further afar in the pictures).

A real treat. It was very cozy with heavy curtains and carpet. The bed was large and soft but not too soft. The bathroom was very clean and had a large and modern shower. The cleaning during the day was thorough. We felt very welcome and liked the location very much. It is right in the middle of town so everything was nearby. We were there there on a Friday night and still the noise level from the pub underneath was no bother.
