Loved this place, yes the cabin is very small so we left our suitcases in the car but for the price and location it was one of our best stays on our 16 day ring road trip People mention problems with the hot tub but when we stayed the owner met us and explained how it worked and it was really great. Make sure you visit the turf houses nearby - next to the hotel with a pool in the distance.

Featuring free private parking, the lodge is in an area where guests can engage in activities such as hiking and skiing. Fantastic little house, exactly as described and pictured. Beautifully decorated, comfortable, warm, well furnished, high quality linens, really fantastic. Everything you need for your stay. It was fine for me, but to note, the bedroom is up some steep stairs (clearly shown in the pictures), and these could be too much for people with limited mobility. I loved the feeling of climbing into the loft to go to a very, very comfortable bed! I loved the location, fantastic for visiting the Westfjords and for Hornstrandir.

The chalet with a patio and sea views has 3 bedrooms, a living room, a flat-screen TV, an equipped kitchen with an oven and a microwave, and 1 bathroom with a shower. Towels and bed linen are available in the chalet. For added privacy, the accommodation features a private entrance. Great small houses for our group, easy to connect with each other and share meals or to have quiet time apart from each other. Hosts were responsive and helpful. Wonderful way to stay in the quiet and beautiful town of Flateyri. The small homes may not look like much from the outside, but were wonderful where it counts!
