Very helpful staff. Very clean, large villa, with very comfortable beds. Nicely decorated. Good pool area. The owners improved the breakfast during our stay with more variety on offer. Very quiet at night, not always easy to find in Sri Lanka! Good wash machine.

Just wow - this little cabin was my favourite stay during the two-week trip across Sri Lanka. The wooden and stone design is charming and unique; the bed is super comfy, and everything was clean and new. The cabin is located close to the beach (a short walk or a tuktuk drive), but in a very quiet neighbourhood, so you can relax and get a proper sleep during the night. The yard is very beautiful with plants and flowers, and the owner is the kindest person ever. I was welcomed with a king coconut, could use the kitchen and washing machine free of charge, the home-made breakfast was scrumptious, and I got some valuable tips on what to see in Unawatuna. So yes - go and book your own little, magic cabin; you will love it, and it will make your stay in Unawatuna special! ☺️

Huge bathroom, semi opened, exotic. Big size of the room, frigde, keetle. Swimming pool very clean. Location close to the beach, 10 min walking. Room clean, breakfast great :) BEST stay for our last day in Sri Lanka. 2h away from airport.

Writers Lodge was perfect in every way. It was well located , fully stocked and fitted with high quality towels and linen. The villa was the best of its kind in Galle. The staff are also polite and accommodating.

This was a gem of a find for me. First time to Sri Lanka and there was trepidation on my part about the trip. However Malik the owner and his family made it so easy for me. The accommodation is a clean, modern and comfortable bungalow set in the garden of the family home. The accommodation is 10 minutes from the centre of Galle but in a quiet location. An ideal location for trips to the beaches, Galle fort and other local attractions. Malik and his family are so helpful, nothing too much trouble. The home cooking, breakfast and dinner is delicious and they offer traditional cookery lessons in their home kitchen. Malik even sorted my transport from the airport to the accommodation and also had a SIM card sorted for me. Local transport to and from the bungalow is so easy to arrange, I used the pick me up app. I fully recommend this accommodation. Enjoy.
