We were in love from the minute we checked in, the family made us feel so welcome. Our room was huge lovely quirky little pond in the room with a few fish. The bathroom was really really stunning made out of all recycled rocks and the room was immaculately clean. Little pool to cool down at the end of the day, amazing breakfast. We had a cooking class which was offered by Gayashan and we also had a barbecue with the family which included music. This family quickly became a part of our family. They couldn’t do enough for us. I miss the children they are so lovely, also not forgetting Bruno, kitty and their cockerel. We booked Gayashan for the rest of our tour of Sri Lanka (15 days) and what an amazing guy he is. He’s friendly, he’s funny, he has an amazing sense of humour, he goes above and beyond to make your stay Just perfect. I cannot wait to come back. This is the first time to Sri Lanka and it will certainly not be the last. ❤️❤️❤️ I waited until I was back in the UK to do my review and let’s just say I miss you so much my brother from another mother. The bond between Gayashan and my husband will last a lifetime.

Everything is well organised. I recommend Rocksana Fortress in 100%!!!

For added privacy, the accommodation features a private entrance. It was a wonderful experience in this cabin. The place is fully equipped and well maintained. The host Mr Sisira is a wonderful person and helped us many ways during whole stay. Amazing location plus close to Kandy town and Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage. If anyone is interested in hiking, there is a view point Saradiel Rock close by. We recommend this place to anyone who wants to feel free with nature. We would be very happy to come back someday!
